There’s been a fair wind chill today.
It was totally different weather thirteen years ago tonight; it was still really warm after the match.
Remember getting tickets for someone earlier in the day and Besiktas fans were everywhere.
Everything comes round again including Walters and even Whitehead (ex Besiktas coach) 🙂

Was there last week. Beşiktaş are small fry compared to Galatasaray and Fenerbache supporters, I genuinely feared I would die during the derby🤣

For Besiktas? Quaresma Got Sent off in a Stoke V Chelsea Reserves game too at the Brit ... well it was that or he stormed off I can't remember. Want to say it was around 2009. |

Manuel Fernandes had a brilliant game that night, oozed class. Agree, Fernandes one of the best individual performances I have ever witnessed. Wonderful to see such skill and command of the game. |

A fantastic night in Istanbul. Never heard noise like it. Nearly passed out when RF10 put us 1-0 up, and he should have scored a 2nd a second a few minutes later.
It all changed when Upson got sent off, and conceded a penalty. Their lot went nuts. Was it straw or shredded paper that they were throwing around their stands? The way each side of the ground sang at each other was off the scale.
