The right side of that defence is a disaster, the midfield weak as piss. The front three on paper looks useful. Be amazed if we keep a clean sheet.

Unchanged is a little concerning. Already a lack of ideas about what to do with these players? For me, if Cannon is as anonymous as he has been in his previous performances he needs to come off before 60 minutes with Koumas moving to centre forward. His performance there against West Brom was the most effective lone centre forward performance we've seen from a Stoke player in many years. By an absolute mile. So we don't have the luxury of waiting forever to see if Cannon comes good when we could well have a better option already in the squad. He definitely needs a performance today otherwise I'd drop him and give Koumas a run in that position. From what I've seen of Cannon he's looked totally devoid of confidence, which this time isn't our fault but must be a hangover from Leicester. To just drop him would unfortunately make it even worse. Let's hope he can kick on today. I'm hoping that a few of our players have been receiving some psychological help this last week as well as pitch training. This is going to be a tough ride but we have to give it a chance. I'm really impressed with Philips but of course, he still cant play a part. Hope Dixon isn't injured as he's also had a great start. Glad to see Gally on the bench. Hopefully no stupid mistakes today, that would be a good base to work from.

4-0 loss incoming, target Junior double up on Million and we’re knackered. If they target the fullbacks especially junior as you say, I can see it being pretty poor. Tbh that midfield looks like a weak point too. Hopefully bang some balls up the line and get cannon some service. COYP Target any of the back 4 it makes no difference and let Wilmot have as much as the ball as possible as he's bound to give it away at some point.

With the exact same team it’ll be interesting to see how much difference having them to himself for a week will make on there performance. Personally I’d say not a lot of difference at all, far too many bang average players in that starting line up with countless game changes errors in them. Tactics will be along the lines of nice and tight for as long as possible, let them do the chasing then we strike when in reality we’ll be knackered by 60 minutes get caught napping/poor pass and concede with no way of getting back in the game, concede again and the manager stating that’s not we’ve worked on all week.

Fingers crossed and let’s pray that this head coach is a magician who can see things we can’t. Fearful of the defence being left all at sea again with the weak as piss midfield but hope to be proved wrong. Saying a prayer to the football gods as getting tired of Saturday’s being blighted by losses….

I fear for us if he's going for the same approach as the one we did against Hull. Think we'd look better playing in a low block and on the counter attack with the players we've got currently, particularly today.

I get the lack of confidence argument and how dropping him early could make it worse. But I suppose so could flogging him every week with zero return till it reaches the point where he gets sarcastically cheered when he gets subbed off and Koumas is moved to the middle. At the end of the day, we're not a charity and Cannon isn't our player. If he's not producing and you have a player in the squad who has been as impressive in that position as Koumas was, how long do we wait before pressing the switch? And before anyone says it, I know it was just one great game from Koumas and he hasn't really played for us in that position since. It could be a flukey one off and there's no guarantee that he'll produce that form again.

I’m fairly happy with most of the lineup, but that clown show at the back, all about the Benjamin's and unfortunately they’re crap.

I'm really hoping he gets a goal and it breathes new life into him. I also agree about the initial Koumas performances. Did he pick up a slight injury when away with Wales? I'd like to see him given another go in his original position. Our strenghth is to get off to an absolute flyer and get the ball in the back of the net a few times so we'settle' down. Hard ask I know but we have got attacking players that can do this. Anyways, fingers crosssed. Just make sure no stupid errors. The back has to do the utmost to stay calm and keep shape.

Let's hope they've been on the treadmills during the week because this 11 were absolutely not fit enough to play the pressing game the coach wants.
We were a touch unlucky in the first 30 mins last week, but after that we had nothing at both ends.
Let's hope we don't have a repeat.

We have to find a way to get to a consistent level of performance and you are not going to do that by constantly changing the team. We need to build partnerships so unfortunately we need to accept that we are going to lose some games before he can turn it round through coaching out their mistakes and they can start to understand each other's way of playing.

Until last week I was willing to give Wilmot the benefit of the doubt. Now I’m done with him. Makes too many mistakes and is frequently guilty of ball watching.

Dixon not on bench is he injured Dixon will be out for a minimum of 14 days earliest before he can start contact training again. He won't be able to be considered for a full return to play until Day 21. So unlikely by my maths we'll see him back until after the International break 😲🫣

I would have had Sidibe, Moran seko in midfield, Dixon for Junior or at least on the bench. The centre of defence is painfully slow and a worry. Seems to be playing it safe with the old guard. Where’s the guile and spark in midfield yes we’ve got JunHo but he’s a front 3 player, wide or a number 10. Worrying. Edit I meant sidibe, seko or Moran instead of Thompson and/or burger. Doh

It’s funny reading all these comments from people about the likes of junior and cannon, who most on here wanted us break the bank for, now wanting them rested.
A manager that wants to play possession football and hurt teams yet on here wanting a low block and park the bus.
