Probably trying some continuity, but better options on the bench than last Friday

The 2 centre half’s, slow as they come.
I hope Phillips would have played if not injured

4-0 loss incoming, target Junior double up on Million and we’re knackered. If they target the fullbacks especially junior as you say, I can see it being pretty poor. Tbh that midfield looks like a weak point too. Hopefully bang some balls up the line and get cannon some service. COYP

Vidigal on the bench, obviously welcomed back to the fold Good move -nothing to lose to throw him on for 20 minutes, he has everything to prove, even if it is January shop window

Koumas was far better more effective playing down the middle than Cannon has been so far, I guess we have to give it time and actually give Cannon something to work with.

4-0 loss incoming, target Junior double up on Million and we’re knackered. Doubling up on Million could open up space across the front/final third for cannon and koumas... And junior needs cover. No point us moaning about him when he's stranded dealing with 2 players cos our midfield aren't tracking back doing their job properly.

With the exact same team it’ll be interesting to see how much difference having them to himself for a week will make on there performance.

Unchanged is a little concerning. Already a lack of ideas about what to do with these players?
For me, if Cannon is as anonymous as he has been in his previous performances he needs to come off before 60 minutes with Koumas moving to centre forward. His performance there against West Brom was the most effective lone centre forward performance we've seen from a Stoke player in many years. By an absolute mile. So we don't have the luxury of waiting forever to see if Cannon comes good when we could well have a better option already in the squad. He definitely needs a performance today otherwise I'd drop him and give Koumas a run in that position.

I’m flabbergasted by this lineup. If this is more of the same as last week just launching high balls to Cannon, then this is only going one way.

Burger, Wilmott and Juno can consider themselves lucky to start. But for giving people a chance and limited options, same could be said of Junior, Bocat and Cannon after last weeks performance.

I would have had Sidibe, Moran seko in midfield, Dixon for Junior or at least on the bench. The centre of defence is painfully slow and a worry. Seems to be playing it safe with the old guard. Where’s the guile and spark in midfield yes we’ve got JunHo but he’s a front 3 player, wide or a number 10. Worrying.
