Jon, John, I’m clutching at straws here but, just maybe there is something in it and I suggest you think about this.
We’ll be with you, an anthem written in 1972 by Jackie Trent and Tony Hatch for our appearance in a cup final. It’s our anthem but to be honest, it’s cheesy, a bit childish and frankly, it’s hardly upbeat as a piece of music is it?
More importantly though, none of our current squad were born in 1972 and the majority have no affiliation to the club let alone the area, just maybe our decline of the past decade is to the team walking out to this drab cacophony instead of the upbeat tunes we played when we arrived in the Premiership.
You’ve invested a huge amount of money into the team, you’ve changed your manager and back room staff on many occasions without a hint of success and maybe just maybe the solution is a little more simplistic?
I urge you to give it ago and then maybe the supporters WIll be with you all the way.

I don’t think coming out to Thunderstruck is going to stop Wilmot from passing it straight to their player.

I don’t think coming out to Thunderstruck is going to stop Wilmot from passing it straight to their player. Nope, you’re quite right but giving the team some motivation, getting the crowd behind them from the minute they walk onto the pitch could be a massive help. The game is largely about motivation and confidence, the right piece of music could just give us that start and oomph that we’re often lacking. As I say, I’m clutching at straws.

I’ve always felt like coming out to we’ll be with you is part of the identity of the football club

You wouldn't play it at a convention of Kirby vacuum cleaner salesmen would you? Let's stop living in the past

Rubbish , so your saying Liverpool should drop there anthem because none of the team where born in the sixty’s You're missing the point. We're on a downward spiral, the club is in a mess, we need inspiration and motivation from any angle we can get it from and if you're comparing Liverpools anthem with we'll be with you then you're delusional. Like I said, I'm grasping at straws but, I never have and never will live in the past.

Why am I delusional to compare, there anthem is just has special to them has ours isn’t us, just because they are a little bigger then us (joke) anthems to any club are important

Terrace songs or Walk on Music never has and never will turn inept footballers or managers into a successful outfit. How about a complete overhaul of our recruitment, training, coaching, attitudes and methods as a bear minimum?

It's a dreadful song. I'd be delighted if I never heard it again. I know it's history, it's link to the League Cup win and that it was written by two people who lived in the area and who may well have been fans but all that doesn't make it a good song. There must be loads of songs out there that could be used instead.

Maybe you just need to stop being childish and realise that the fans don't mean much at all.
Look at the greatest clubs in the world eg man city and their fans are pointless but they'd smash most folk
Just little peeps thinking they're relevant, when in reality it's the pros doing the job.

I'll caveat the above by saying the fans mean loads in the low leagues obvs as they pay the wages.
