Unless i am mistaken, i cannot see any headline or mention on the BBC Sport homepage or even the Football homepage of the same site that we have appointed Chico. We are clearly so unfashionable that they don't even want to bother to openly report it! Nice to see that Bristol City Women's team have a new manager though

Why do you expect it to still be on the homepage when lots has happened elsewhere since, including UCL

To be fair there isnt any Champo coverage at all on the main Football menu page, because they are having a massive jizzfest over the Champions League (they have highlights this season, on at 10.30pm tonight) as they return to terrestrial tv, and have loads of clips on the website Between that, usual big 6 bollocks and prep for the Man City v Arse game on Sunday, they have a load of womens CL and WSL stuff on there, a bit of Scottish to tick a box too We are the second headline on the Championship page, less of a story than Portsmouth grumbling that they lose a lot Then again, is Stoke sacking a manager and replacing isnt news anymore, it happens a lot lol www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4g5xynq2p0oNot a bad article to be fair.

I would expect it to be a significant enough story to last for 24 hours!

Why do you expect it to still be on the homepage when lots has happened elsewhere since, including UCL I saw something yesterday before he was appointed about him but not since. But to counter your argument, when I browsed through this morning, there was still a story running on the bbc sports homepage about Declan Rice's sending off v Brighton which I believe happened on the 31st August.......one minor incident still somehow taking up a whole news page 20 days after it happened...its still there!!!!. A story relating to that one incident seems to have been on the sports page every day since it happened, which is just bizarre imo. I don't want to put a link because I don't want to encourage the bbc to think everybody/anybody is interested in an Arsenal sending off everyday of the week for weeks!!! Follow up rant about Arsenal : I notice that even the story about the Greenock Morton footballers £600k cannabis seizure is headlined in the Express and Mail as 'ex-Arsenal player charged after.....etc' having made 1 sub appearance for them in 2008!

It was news again because they’ve now released the referee audio clips from that round of matches and Chris Kavanagh can be heard in it saying “I don’t like it but I’ve got no choice, I have to send you off”. I know it’s not exactly the story of the year but as a football fan I found it quite an interesting insight into the interactions between referees and players.

I would expect it to be a significant enough story to last for 24 hours! Not outside Stoke it isn't. We have been out of the Premier so long now that we are no longer big news even in the Championship. It wouldn't even have been a big story for 24 hours when we were in the Premier.
