That’s very sad and tinnitus can be a swine.
I think he was one of the five or so keepers we used in one season. Might be wrong but I think the others were Fox, Siddall, Corrigan, I think a Dutch fella…Van something and Robert’s….though I may have got the years and names mixed up.
Anyway, RIP Stuart.

I have a vague recollection of being at his last game for us at Highfield Road during the season best forgotten and seeing this stripling of a lad warming up in goal and thinking he looked far too small and thin to be a professional goalkeeper. He was 16 or 17 I think. It didn't end well. We lost 0-4. Happily, he went on to win the Irish championship a season or so later before disappearing into non-league so at least he had something of a career in football. Awful to hear that he passed away and in such sad circumstances.

That Cup game v Luton that was postponed several times ..think was his debut
Hit a clearance straight at an incoming Luton player. Tough night on his debut. Was only a kid
Sad to hear 😕

Really sad news. I scored against him in a Junior Potters penalty contest. Then hit the bar twice!!! I had never heard of him but he made his first team debut 2 weeks later. A part of my childhood gone. RIP
