Paul Clement is a good appointment, no2 to ancelotti at various clubs, decent coach, not a great manager It's a different one I think, This one's just been the goalie coach at Huddersfield and Norwich Are Stoke aware of this though?

Good first interview, I actually really like what he says about adapting to the phase of the game. I really liked Schuey but my one criticism of the team was if plan A didn't work we had nothing. So hopefully we see a team that plays the game in front of them and isn't afraid to switch it up if its not working. The A50 Arteta has arrived 😂

The clubs with the best players tend to top their respective divisions. That's why in the Premier League clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are dominant.
Sometimes a manager can get more out of a team that doesn't have especially superior players, like is the case with Aston Villa at present, but this is rare.
I know little about the quality of the current Stoke team, so I would ask are the present squad one of the strongest in the Championship.
It seems to me at present based on what I'm reading that they are not and therefore SS has done pretty well.
If of course we have a really strong squad capable of a top four finish then is performance is not so good.

Classy. And not a word about Walters which is telling. He was doing what he had been asked to do. 7 wins in the last 10 competitive games and he gets sacked. And replaced with a total unknown. Its fucking crackers. Nuts. Statistics hey ..league performances have been woeful. Will be interesting what Narcis does with Ennis, Gooch and a lesser extent Junior. Many have said would be good to see the results of quality coaching on the likes of Burger and Junho. Will be also good to see some work with the forwards (I really hope Cannon isn’t cursed) Of course statistics can be misleading. But you don't sack a coach who has won 7 of his last 10 competitive games. No matter how poor the other 3 games were. I'd love to see the statistics on how many managers/coaches have lost their job with those statistics in their last 10 games😆 there won't be many...

The one thing I have taken from his statement is that he says he will play a system that suits the players he has and not impose a preferred system on them. Hopefully that will happen.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-narcis-pelach-live-9556516Narcis Pelach's coaching teamIt might be a case of watch this space on Pelach's backroom set-up. But keeper coach Paul Clements is expected to make the move from Norwich too as well as analyst Harrison Glew, who also worked with Pelach at Huddersfield Town. Dean Whitehead, the former Stoke midfielder whose coaching career has taken him from Port Vale to Besiktas as well as spells at Cardiff and Watford, could join from Barnsley. His son is in the Stoke academy. Clements and Glew were in the executive box with Pelach last night. Didn’t it take Nathan Jones months to assemble his back room? Which went well.

What's done is done. Onwards, and hopefully upwards. Considering we've only managed 17th to 14th in the table in six seasons, I can't see this being as disastrous as predicted on here. Our record is already fucking disastrous. Welcome and goarnn Stokelona.

My problem with the past managers since rowett is that nobody has given us an identity and all of them wanted to outthink what the other coach was going to to instead of giving them something to worry about, establish a system and stick to it only then will we see improvement, changing every 3 or 4 games only creates confusion This. I want a manager to have a mentality of ‘you need to stop us, instead of us trying to stop them’. Thought Schumacher would buck that trend.
