Opposition Managers/Coaches appear to suss us out by Half-Time, and adjust their tactics in the intervals team talk and we don't appear to have an answer. On the opening day, we should have gone in at half time a couple of goals ahead, with Coventry posing little threat. Yet after Half-Time Coventry adjusted their tactics and we were pinned back for a long stretch and we were fortunate to score with our only real opportunity up to that point.
Again at Watford, we buckled after Half-Time and had no answer to their strength and drive.
We managed to get away with it at Guzz, where Argyle created some tense second half moments before we put the game to bed.
And yesterday after a lack lustre first half from both sides Oxford came out and took the game by the neck, showing our inadequacies.
Quite what goes on in our dressing room at Half-Time I don't know, but it doesn't appear to be very positive.

Iām no tactician but in second half of Watford and Oxford there were times when junior had two on him? They targeted Junior yesterday. Pushed their left back up and he won every header leaving Dembele free. Not helped by Million not being the best at getting back as he likes to drift inside. We need a better defender behind Million or the right midfielder to drift across

This isn't just a SS thing though. It's something that has gone on for a few seasons. You would know the opposition would move things around at half time if we were on top but we seem to not anticipate that and play the first half game and then lose control.

Tactically we seem to be lacking, unusual considering we have a million coaches and assistants hanging around, almost too many to fit in the dugout. Morris, Cohen, Cavanagh and Hughes?.

When you effectively start a game with Gooch as a number 10 you get what you deserve.

Some great points have been made here and those XG stats are horrendous, but also very revealing and clearly explain alot which ties in with what we've witnessing & how match days have been unfolding..
Surely in this day and age of stats and figures to gain an advantage someone at SCFC has identified this as a problem and ongoing issue & a resolution is being worked on (clearly hasnt happened thus far)!
If fans on a forum have nailed it, surely we should have folk within the club whose job it is to seek out squad & tactic based marginal advantages, are seeing the same and implementing ways of trying to address the issues that are glaringly apparent?!
"Come on Jon", sort it out šš»šš»

Getting out-coached is becoming a worrying trend.

We do seem to very vulnerable just after half time, as though the players are pleased with their work in the first half, whereas the opposition see that they need to step it up.

Swop the half time team talk for a Park Drive (untipped) and a bottle of brown ale like it was in the 60's and 70's. Cant do any worse. Has anyone found Plan B yet, the Holy Grail will be discovered first I reckon?

For their goal, he had two to contend with, and a 3rd was running into the box in that area totally free. Thats because 4 players of ours couldn't manage to put a tackle in near the corner. Should never have got over to the goalscorer in the first place.
