You dont win games in the championship if your lightweight. Unless you zip that ball about on the floor. We couldnt pass piss today worrying indeed. Thompson who i dont rate has to come until Lawal. As for Burger slow, insipid and downright awful.Looks knackered after 20 minutes and constantly fouls.

It was incredibly disappointing how poor we passed the ball.
We were back to not being able to make basic 5-10 yard passes.

When we were in the Prem wonder where Oxford were…suddenly we are floating around the piss pans and getting beaten by the like. Wake up Schumacher.

We’ve seemingly not learned our lesson at all re what makes for success in this division. SS ‘s approach appears to be that strength and competiveness of a not a priority and we can go gung ho with lightweight technical players to outplay the opposition. Their “rough house” tactics may get them a goal or two, but our sparkling cavalier play will get us 2 or 3. He’s slowly learning that it only works when you have players who are significantly better than the opposition and we simply do not have them. Laurent for his size was an absolute fanny at times and couldn’t impose himself on anyone, he is no loss nor Baker. We desperately need Pearson/Lawal to come into the frame and show some kind of competitive/nasty edge to compliment the “technical” players as we are currently as resilient as a chocolate fire guard.

Its why letting laurent go amd knowonv lawal wasnt fit umtil xmas seems madness Agree with this , really short on experience in there, Laurent was frustrating but on his day was effective, very good in our strong end to last season , some talent in there but not much know how and it is going to cost us . Oxford are effective at what they do but limited and we were awful yesterday .
