It surprises me how many people listen to player and manager interviews in general. It’s all the same crap and they generally just sound like idiots.

I like to get a sense of their personality and to hear their accent.
It would be an interesting piece of work for a student dissertation to see if players do better or worse with us on average if they weave in the words 'massive club'.

Just full of cliches and apologising for losing. Don’t apologise just fucking get better.

Gibson's interview was excellent - you could see immediately why he was made captain. Victor also came across as a great bloke to have in the dressing room.
Understandably the Seko interview was stiff and stilted but it really wasn't helped by having an interviewer who appeared to gargling gravel.

The interviews are usually a painful listen because the interviewer asks the same dull questions in a monotone voice.
It’s obvious Manhoef has a good personality but it doesn’t come out because of the crap questions.

Players must get standard ‘move to a new club’ media training. The phrase ‘ big/massive club’ has clearly been identified as cat nip to most supporters. Oh for the days when everyone just got on with the business in hand of winning a few games of football 🙂

Vidigals first interview was mightily impressive .... He came here full of confidence in his own ability, talked up the amazing club and fans he was joining, sounded like he'd run through brick walls for the club and wear stoke PJs every night, tucked up in bed at 9pm. I don't think the interviews mean shit.

Seko must have gone away wondering if everyone speaks like that in this country 😆

Oh for the days when everyone just got on with the business in hand of winning a few games of football 🙂 And you've got to mention the training ground, getting the club back to where it belongs and what a tough place it was to come to as an opposition player (if applicable)

Surely he/ she (genuinely unsure - sometimes sounds like an old lady, sometimes a wet fella) isn’t the best we’ve got? Asks set questions even if it’s just been answered.

You have to kind of introduce new player in some way and an interview the best way
Oddly there's usually a hint about the video like- interview with new signing (insert name) and gives the game away re the content rather than yapping like an old woman about them .
I hate soap operas so strangely don't watch them
