I really couldn’t care less. I want to watch football, the rest is irrelevant to me. I know people will say “why comment if you’re not interested”. But I deem it only right to chuck in my two penneth of thoughts so there! You know what the thread is before you open it. If you aren't bothered then don't 😁

Hours and hours of TV coverage for the next few months with no one really knowing what is going on. Lawyers getting richer.
We know the outcome lads, fuck all.

I don’t get the hate here.
From the naked eye all Man City have done is spend money to compete with the established teams?
Their money spent (Grealish and Phillips aside) has genuinely been great. KBD, Haaland, Kompany, Dias, Silva have been greats who deliver far more than their initial price. They’ve brought through talents like Foden and Lewis.
Man Utd and Chelsea should be the ones facing penalties if it’s purely finance. The Antony, Enzo, Mudryk, Pogba, Maguire etc etc etfuckingc deals have all been shambolic in comparison.
I think people want to see Man City fail out of jealousy, but it’s these very rules that stop the championship and PL from letting Coates invest in us.

The fact they have so many charges proves they've probably been bending the rules, to put it lightly. Whether they found sufficient loopholes and can prove they haven't technically done anything wrong, who knows? It all goes back to how well the rules are written and put into place at the outset and if they are actually even necessary. I don't see how it's fair for newly promoted clubs to have to gamble so much - spend loads and try and make a decent fist of it, but risk being sanctioned for overspending somewhere down the line, or not spend much and end up going back down. It all needs levelling out from the top to the bottom of the pyramid. I'll go for a 3 point deduction and a big fine.

I think they will be relegated to the Championship. They've seriously pissed a lot of people off and have no friends.

Let's put Man City into context and what it means to the rest of respectable clubs.
I don't remember the full details but a few years ago when we were in the PL ans hovering around 10th place we wanted to sign some young lad who was bought up and was playing in the USA. He had family connections to SOT and it was a dream move for him and his development and career.
It transpired that Man City's dubious financial tentacles stretched across the Atlantic and they were able to block our purchase. They did some kind of internal dubious financial transfer (shoveling money from one pile to another) and bought him them selves. FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN TO PREVENT little old Stoke from purchasing and developing a potential talent.
More importantly WHAT HAPPENED to the young lad? I don't know but he was loaned out to a lower division club and I have never heard of him since.
So I have no respect for Man Shifty, and the likes of Chelsea etc.
Hopefully someone will tell me it all worked out and the young man is now a highly successful player?

We were languishing and comfortable at around 10 th in the PL and at the same time Leeds were in the doldrums.

He played for their sister team in MLS (New York City) We had pretty much sealed the deal and then Man City (same club) stepped in, stopped it and signed him themselves. He has never played a minute for them, was loaned straight out to Boro (managed by TP at the time), and then Leeds for 3 or 4 seasons and then Leeds bought him for £10-£15 million I think. Was as bent as it comes. They had 4 or 5 loan fees and then a big fee. He's at Everton now on loan as he wanted to stay in the Prem after Leeds were relegated. Born in stoke I believe

Add Mount and Sancho Man U have spent massively Big teams have always spent big money. Nothing has changed. As far as I'm concerned the way it should be. If a club has it, let them spend it like Blackburn did.

When you start looking at the shenanigans Man City have engaged in I don’t see how anyone can defend them. They have so clearly broke the rules that others have tried to abide by. You can’t suddenly blame the rules. To say they have bought themselves an advantage over others is an understatement. If you break the speed limit and get caught you can argue all you want that the speed limit should be different.

The hearings being held in a secret venue is sensible but will add to the suspicion surrounding it.... whatever the verdicts.

You’d assume by dropping the 115 reported breaches to 100 reported breaches the PL are pretty confident ?

It's not going to happen but would anyone be happy if they were stripped of the 2011 FA Cup,& handed to us?
I don't think I would.

I read somewhere that if the Premier League loses the trial, the legal fees will be spread between the rest of the Premier League clubs. How fair is that?
Man City might not win the Premier League anyway this season, depending how long Rodri is injured for.

But if they were guilty, one team cheated and the other didn't. If they were all found to be taking PEDs would you feel the same?
