Sounds like a mistake. We need Cannon firing on all cylinders to win this one. OK. Hope it doesn't backfire though. He’s got to give Cannon a shot shirley….

Why are you assuming Koumas is out? From what I've heard it's more likely that Moran will be out - missed training today with a little niggle which in Stoke language usually means 4 or 5 games out. Koumas came off at HT for Wales after a clattering so it was reasonable to assume he might not start Schumacher said today all are fine , just Moran has a knock but should be ok . A long time since we had a bunch of forward players like this to pick from. Be tough as they look a bit like a Pulis side to me

Very quiet here. This is HUGGGGGGEEE. Three points here and we believe. A draw and it’s a meh more of the same. A defeat and it’s knicker wetting sack the manager time. Huggggggeeeee. It might take a few weeks for new players to bed in, it's expecting a bit too much to expect everything just to click immediately but in 3/4 games time we should start playing some really good football as partnerships start to form. We might get away with it and get some results in the next few matches but gotta expect there might be some mistakes but they will get better. They are young players the more they play the better they will get

Looking forward to this one
Think we can go and get the 3pts (back to back away wins)
So refreshing to be looking forward to games again as a Stoke fan instead of dreading them or being completely non plussed
Schumachers barmy army
Oxford 1-2 Stoke

Just landed at Heathrow from Switzerland.
First away game this season, can't wait!
The best form of defence is attack, 3 1 away win

Oxford 2/1 to win this one.
Good odds for any stokies who like to hedge their bets like me.

I think he’ll rest Moran if he’s got a knock and bring Thompson or possibly Seko into midfield for a bit of additional solidity. Hopefully Seko is actually a Thompson upgrade and can help Burger control the midfield in ways that Thompson has never really been able to.
Victor
Junior Gibson Phillips Bocat
Burger Thompson Junho
Million Cannon Koumas
Don’t think we’ve had a front three in the championship who’ve offered that much goal threat before.

I don't know how we will tackle this game. Oxford are a big strong team who will fling high balls into the box at every opportunity. In particular, they will target the far post to test the aerial ability and strength of opposition full backs. This is a much different test than a poor Plymouth team with their struggling manager. Sounds like a team talk that Alex Neal would give. **** em! Let's get at them. Attack at pace, lots of movement. Overwhelm them. If we have the ball they can't attack us. 2-0 Stoke at a canter.

Be interesting to see how we line up today. Schumacher was talking about Oxford as being similar to Plymouth in how they play and he decided to play a very attacking side so I suspect a similar approach.

Same side other than Cannon for Mmaee maybe? I imagine that's the safest bet but really depends on fitness. I wanted to see Junho on the left with Koumas coming on from the bench but not sure we'll see that today, especially if Moran isn't fit to start.

Their away shirt is nice; the purple and yellow.
