No chance Sidibe starts. It’ll be similar to the team vs Plymouth probably

No chance Sidibe starts. It’ll be similar to the team vs Plymouth probably This is going to be a really tough game. They are well organised, strong at home and have better players than last season. I just hope our midfield can cope and see this area as key to the game. We do have the tools to get the job done but this is no pushover.

I think they use 'division two' a bit randomly there.

I don't know how we will tackle this game. Oxford are a big strong team who will fling high balls into the box at every opportunity. In particular, they will target the far post to test the aerial ability and strength of opposition full backs.
This is a much different test than a poor Plymouth team with their struggling manager.

On their forum someone says the same about us based on the Pulis years. Big strong and physical. And another poster suggests we are deluded for characterising them as a long ball team. Regardless, most games in the Champo are stern tests, unless you are playing v us in the Neil years. Plenty of teams will struggle to win at Plymouth.

Agree, from the little I've seen of Oxford they didn't look like a long ball big and strong team at all

It’ll very likely be a similar game to Plymouth in that it will be end to end so I think he’ll pick the same team but probably bring Thompson in if he’s fit for Junho or Koumas. As well as Cannon for Mmaee of course.
I would go Sidibe but if Thompson is fit I think he’ll go with him. Doubt Seko will be thrown straight into the starting 11.

Presuming koumas is out (hope not) We will go bae out left. Sidibe or Thompson. Cannon obviously and Gibson alongside Phillips.

My friend lives opposite their COE in Wilmslow, they’re really good mates. He used to be over in Milan working pretty high up for Inter, used to tell my mate quite a bit of “gossip”…anyway he’s back here and now at Oxford,he absolutely loves it and has really thrown himself into the job. Said to my friend pre season they’d just be happy to finish 1 point above relegation, obviously now is revved up and very over excited and and has even mentioned play offs etc etc(which amused my friend somewhat)…anyway,I’ve met him too and he is a lovely bloke and has been a stalwart to my friend during a family tragedy, this however, doesn’t stop me wanting us to give them a massive 0-4 bum fucking on Saturday.

From what I've heard it's more likely that Moran will be out - missed training today with a little niggle which in Stoke language usually means 4 or 5 games out.

Koumas came off at HT for Wales after a clattering so it was reasonable to assume he might not start
