Johansson Bonham Fielding
Junior Philips Gibson Bocat Gooch Wilmot Rose Stevens
Lawal Burger Moran Thompson Seko Sidibe Pearson
Manhoef Cannon Junho Koumas Gallagher Vidigal ————Mmaee ————Tezgel
Actually ended really well balanced bar one more attacker than is ideal but even then Vidigal could go.

Yeah I'm a little relieved the Cundle deal didn't come to fruition. Just feel that was too many loans in the attacking half. Would have been a decent addition if he could replicate what he showed at the very end of last season. Hopefully Tezgel and Sidibe get the pitch time they deserve.

I was very surprised there was talk of him. He just isn’t needed imo. I’d love for Vidigal to stay as well tbh but I also want Mmaee to stay and try and concoct a fantasy world where Gallagher isn’t in that list above. The way I’ve ordered it, is the way I think Schumacher will generally pick too. Really hope he consigns Wilmot to the bench tomorrow. There’s no reason not to.

Squad is looking good individually, much more like it. Concerned with full back options as right back in particular is looking threadbare but there’s enough to work with to get this squad into play off contention if the manager sticks to his self proclaimed principles. Get those shackles off Shuey and let the opposition worry about us.

Be in front 3-0 by the 60th minute each match and then make 4 subs to keep everyone fresh and happy each week. Lol 😜

That’s an excellent transfer window.
I was worried looking at the squad when we lined up against AZ Alkmaar but it looks in good shape now with some exciting loans and getting rid of some of the dross that was holding us back.
I don’t think I’m going over the top when I say our attacking options are up there with the best in the division?
Bae Million Koumas Moran Cannon
Plenty of scope to mix it up as well.
I’m still not convinced by the manager, and West Brom did nothing to help with that, but top half at least should be on the table.

There will be talk of too many players and whilst there is mileage in that just to note we only have 3 available midfielders today Will Smith presumably will be on the bench again

Everything came together in the final week to leave us with a well balanced and rejuvenated squad, well done to Walters and co.
The only area where we have too many is striker where we have five + Koumas for one position. Surprised Ennis is still here, but hopefully Mmaee leaves to a country where the window is still open (I like him, but he doesn’t fit in the squad any more) which will mostly resolve that small issue.

He's a direct replacement for Wesley (hopefully much better) and I hope he's only to be used in certain game situations. Not as a starter.

Thompsom is carrying an injury . I thiink he is right we are exposed in midfield . Sidibe who many see as an main option wasnt considered good enought to displace baker or laureentb in the league games - Juno isnt a 10 or 8 so an injury to moran and we have literally zero attacking midfielders It’s been a good summeervfor me but we are still light in midield and physicality to make a real challenge .im expecting a marginal improvement with adifferent style and it may get worse before it gets better .

From those that ended last season to where we are now we replaced Iversen Hoever McNally Baker Laurent Johnson Cundle Haksobanovic Campbell Leris + a couple of squad platers, Wesley, Wright-Phillips etc We've bought in Johansson Phillips Bocat Gibson Seko Lawal Moran Koumas Gallagher Cannon
I think we are stronger, in particular up top where Koumas and Cannon will be hits, I also think Gallagher will help, would have been happy to see Ennis go too
Time will tell if midfield improves, I'd hope that Seko, Lawal and Moran are better than the 3 departed, and I think we are stronger but u sure if Moran is an upgrade on Cundle.
The keeper and back 4 concern me though I must be honest. Losing McNally and replacing him with an 18 year old is risky and Tchamadeu looked very poor in the last 2 league games, I think Hoever is a better player.
And the jury's out on the keeper for me, I thought Iversen was very dependable, a good shot stopper. But haven't seen this from Johansson yet

Who’s not available out of Sidibe Burger Moran and Thompson? Thompson Hamstring injury No idea how serious Tbh I’m not too upset about that. If he’d just play Burger deeper that would be my first choice midfield until Lawal is fit. If he is to persist with the 1:2 midfield I’d play Junho inside and bench either Burger or Sidibe. I think/hope that’ll be too much for Plymouth to handle even assuming Cannon not done in time.

The squad is a bit young. Physically, I think there’s a real chance we will get bullied in certain games. We’ve left ourselves a bit exposed on the right hand side of defence so I can see us conceding lots of goals unfortunately.
