Great news for Tezgel (and Simkin), congrats to them both.

I'm happy for us to go with a leaner squad this season simply because I want the likes of Tezgel, Sidibe and Dixon being properly integrated into the first team matchday squad......

Liam Delap is still getting picked for the England under 21s when there's strong rumours Ireland are trying to nab him (which wouldn't be a surprise with Rory playing for them)

These under age squads don't necessarily mean they'll play for those countries when it comes to the full international squad.

Is it still 1, Werrington? As I may have mentioned 786 times, Kane was due to play for Ireland in a qualifier and wouldn't have been eligible for England after that but did they not change it to 3 games or was it never actually brought in?. Was talk of it at some point

I know was enquiries re Delap but not sure he's actually eligible. Rory only qualified through his grandparents I seem to remember. Pennant almost got a call up but was the time he went a bit off the rails after that great spell for us. Turned out Mark Stein was eligible believe it or not . Off the top of my head was Rory's grandmother he qualified through so would that make Liam eligible? Not sure

Still one I think mate, a player only has to play ONE SECOND of a competitive match ( not friendlies or u23s etc etc ) and that’s it for their international career
