A young mid-20’s couple from S.Korea at the Baggies game. Carrying a S.Korea flag and both wearing Stoke tops with Junho written on the back. Wonder what ppl think about how welcoming we are to visitors? Was tempted myself to say “hello” but (a) didn’t want to come across as creepy/patronising and (b) I was chaperoning a young family member anyway but consider this ….. this couple had travelled thousands of miles to visit Stoke spending hundreds of ££ in our city and at our club. At half time the young fella is taking pics of his g/friend but, because he wants to fit the Boothen End in behind her, he briefly steps into the (very empty) aisle - most ppl having gone downstairs for the loo and/or refreshments. Not one but TWO stewards were immediately on his case and suggesting he returns to his seat. WTAF? What message does that send? duh!

Simple really, imagine we were out in S.Korea watching a young lad from Stoke.
I'd be delighted if the locals made an effort with me.

Simple really, imagine we were out in S.Korea watching a young lad from Stoke. I'd be delighted if the locals made an effort with me. I wouldn't be too chuffed if it was a sailor called Ray tbh. |

These people may not have travelled thousands of miles, they could be living in our country. |

the club did say that standing in other parts of the ground other than safe standing will be cracked down on, perhaps these stewards were a little over zealous
