Has to be a 10 Perfect away day and didn't try and settle for a 1-0 Gouranga.

For him to play his way he needs players with high energy and pace just like we had tonight.
Some of those plodders who played Saturday are no use to him.

He just needs to have the bullocks to drop those that have been routinely holding us back in the league.. Laurent etc

I have a feeling we didn't spend long on tactics and players were just given their position/role and just told to go out, show how good they can be and enjoy themselves. I sometimes wonder whether some of our hesitant play is because the players are thinking too much rather than playing by instinct.
Certainly Saturday's complete muddle can be put down to trying to stop WBA rather than players playing their natural game. So we rode our luck last night and in all honestly Middlesbrough probably should have at least equalised before the rout. But we showed that with pressure lifted we can score more goals than the opposition.
Let's hope that Schumacher decides to go down the route of scoring more than the opposition rather than how we go about stopping our opponents scoring.
On a side note I thoughtvJohansson looked better and it did cross my mind that it might have been because he had more space in front of him to see the danger and make decisions.
EDIT: I know we were playing a weak, young team and a stronger team may well have taken their chances but it would be far more exciting to watch us ride our luck and lose 5-3 than watching us lose 2-1 like at the weekend. Exciting goal filled matches would also generate a better atmosphere in the stadium to lift the players. I'm probably being naive but we usually seem so risk averse that it was a pleasant surprise last night.

Completely agree, there was a freedom displayed by all last night that is lacking in league games.

The last thing we wanted was to drag the game out with another long trip to Plymouth coming up. That contributed to us just going for the win.

If we play that side for the rest of the season we win the league. Sidibe was standout against Everton pre season last season and hasn’t been given a chance. He’s one the best young players in the country. Along with Koumas, Moran and the other youngsters our performance was on a par with Man City.
10 for Schuey.

6. A lot of the problems people have been whining about were still present. The positions of the players on the field were illogical. The AM's or 8's or whatever you want to call them were mostly higher up the pitch than the wide forwards almost constantly in the case of Tezgel on the left. Makes not a blind bit of sense to me. Pull Burger back to play alongside sidibe with one of them designated DM and the other having a bit more freedom. Push the wide forwards further up the pitch and give them more freedom. You get the same level of cover and allow attacking players to play with more freedom and a defensive player (Burger) operating in an area of the pitch where he can be effective. Great result achieved with the same bonkers ideas.

Picked two full backs and two cbs and played them as a back four. Players all looked like they knew their roles.

8.5.
I get why people are giving 10. But we were absolutely wide open and really should have been 1 or 2 down before we scored.
We did however play really well.
