Anyone else feeling it. Only 3 games into the season and it already feels like another long turgid affair.
Maybe it's just me.

Well he was lost by his defender when he scored, that’s for sure.

I didn’t really feel “up” for yesterday to be honest. Usually get the pre-match nerves and excitement but I wasn’t feeling it at all. Hopefully two wins and decent signings will help for next time, but I’m not holding my breath.

I've already written off this season.
Somehow stay up and regroup in July 2025!

I've already written off this season. Somehow stay up and regroup in July 2025! We have as many points as some of the fancies teams - typical Stoke fans cant see further than the last match. Would hate to be in a stressful situation with them as they would surrender asap.

It won’t be long before we’ll have been out of the prem as long as we were in it.

Typical Stoke fans can’t see further than the last match/season/manager/five managers before that/ten years

The transfer window ruins the first few weeks of the season for so many teams like us. It is a phoney start to the campaign, with squads not yet complete, with some due to leave, some to join, some only arrived a day or two before, not yet bedded in.
I have sympathy with coaches in those circumstances, but less so with those who rip up their coaching manual and try something completely different on a whim. That squad available to Schuey had a perfectly serviceable 433 in it, yet he chose to be clever and it cost us the points.

Thought we were in for a Dutch goal machine for a moment Or lost out on Mo Johnston to partner Danny Inges up top in a Marco Gabbiadini / Paul Steward reboot!

Apathy set in for me in the last couple of seasons in the Prem as it was just turgid and boring then basically got worse thereafter.
Everything just seems half arsed and it plays out on the pitch - I've always associated Stoke with a bit of blood n thunder but the intensity just doesn't seem to be there.
If it wasn't for having mates still down there, and skiving on this board, I probably would barely look out for the results on a Saturday. Watching the games on the tv I'm over defeats in seconds whereas before it bugged me all week.
The transfer window is a pain in the arse too along with the first international break - the real season seems to start from there.

The mojo will come back when the coaching staff and recruitment team find the right formula and actually start producing results on the pitch. Its that simple. The fans will lap that up very quickly as they have been starved of any real excitement for nigh on 8 years now.
I hope they hurry up and start showing signs of progress because the malaise is becoming very tedious now..

Yep, it's all about outcomes in the end, if the results are good everything else is just background noise.

I definitely had my optimistic hat on when we survived last season and thought we would turn a corner but it seems SS is determined to foist his desired style of play on a group of players who've already told him they don't feel comfortable doing it. Management, in many walks of life is a huge part about working with the strengths you have and gaining the confidence and respect from your 'staff'. Gain trust and when results come and belief is established new ideas can be brought in. I'm afraid I was not in favor of such a young and inexperienced coach being appointed and I stick by this. However, maybe we can't attract more preferable options either in management or players. So, yep, especially after that mixed up mish mash of a team of bewildered players looking already like they knew we'll get relegated I've lost all my initial enthusiasm. I suspect Jon Coates is thinking much the same.

I’m still optimistic that we’ll make a few key additions, Schuey will quickly learn from his moments of mindloss, and the football world will sit up and take notice again as we break through the glass ceiling by finishing twelfth.
