It seems that it’s becoming more and more of an issue this season. We normally arrive about 12-45(yes I know) and park at Hemheath but yesterday due to a 20 minute delay on the A50 between Hilton and Sudbury(not sure why) we arrived at just after 1 to find it was full🤔down to the Power League but as we queued the fella said it’s now full. Down to Autonuem where we parked easily but my mate nearly had an heart attack when he said £10😳 Anyone else have issues parking? What it did do though was show how much it’s developed down Sir Stanley Matthews Way since I used to park in the Trent car park. I also spotted Richie Anderson walking back as well with his Baggies scarf round his neck😊

Possibly made worse by lots of West Brom fans driving and using those parking options
Most other teams I guess apart from Derby would use the buses or trains more

There was M6 chaos also yesterday at J15-16 so loads were pouring up the A500 which in turn slows A50 etc.....plus Hem Heath pub is closed and cameras up around Aldi punishing +2hr stays ...

Is Screwfix car park still closed? I noticed penalty notices on cars that had parked on the verges in the vicinity of the Michelin roundabout.

It seems like parking the away coaches on the South car park and shifting them first is delaying all cars leaving. We didn't get away till just before 6pm.

It was all the roundabouts backed up maybe just volume of traffic. Parked ok though

Got there early enough to park where you shouldn't outside Autoneum for free. I usually park on one of the six quid ones further up but it took me fucking ages to get off after the Coventry game.

Yes I think it's a big issue personally and would welcome the club to look at the parking and the traffic management system. It took me until 6.30pm to get home and I only live 2.5 miles away as the crow flies.
I would happily walk myself but have family members that come to the game that can't walk far so have to drive and park reasonably close.
It's frustrating that on busy games it takes that long to get home as I've been home around roughly the same time from some away games. Which is daft when you think about it.
I noticed Anthony Emmerson was stood by the Toyota garage yesterday looking at the new away section and how the away fans and home fans are interacting at the top of the bank and the main road so the club are definitely looking at things, which is good to see.
They definitely need to look at the rest of it though and further down Stanley Matthews Way. I'm no traffic expert to say exactly what needs doing but I'm pretty confident that I can say what is being done now isn't working as efficiently as it possibly could.

Absolute shambles. Red traffic lights on SMW southbound for way too long. Wtf is that all about. I've been on South carpark for three years but with the away coaches now I'm going back to mich and mega trudge next season.

I went up to Bolton last season and was around their stadium on a match day and the council (assume it's them?) basically turn off the lights around the ground to assist the traffic away from it. Not sure if they could do that on Trentham Road with some sort of traffic management to assist with clearing SMW quicker or not?

I've been on South carpark for three years but with the away coaches now I'm going back to mich and mega trudge next season. I've badgered Anthony Emerson about this but sadly the head folks at the rugby club won't allow the lights to be switched off. I even went on the rugby club website and did a 'contact us' thing as I doubted it .... but sadly, they insist!

Parking is shite at Stoke. I always manage to park for free at away games without too much hassle.

I’ve no idea what caused the traffic to back up🤷♂️

It’s always been shit approaching the Uttoxeter roundabout but aren’t they supposed to be building a flyover eventually?

Unless the Government are going to tax pensioners at 40% to pay for it? I can only assume it was Alton Towers traffic turning right at the McDonalds roundabout clogging everything else up as it was relatively clear after that. 🤷♂️
