This is bollocks, really…
This is a ‘Lower Tiers’ stat, but we were in the Premier League for 4 of those 10 seasons (that makes a huge difference, especially when it includes a relegation season).
Our goal difference over the 6 Championship seasons is -20
…. This would translate to -33 over ten seasons at our current rate.
Not good, obviously, but far from ‘horrific’ and probably pretty average.

Thought that as soon as I posted, but what I was meaning was that -33 over the ten seasons (-3.3 per season) is not that extreme. I did say ‘pretty average’ tbf - Probably should have just said ‘not that extreme’. - Anyway, definitely not ‘horrific’! |

Being as we’ve rarely had a season where we have conceded an undue amount of goals I think that just highlights how long standing our issues with scoring goals has been. I don’t remember too many seasons where we were significantly above the average number of goals scored in our division but remember quite a lot where we were significantly below the average number of goals scored.
