Hi all,
Looks like we've sold out (I can't see any tickets available) - any chance of anymore allocation do you think? I wanted to take my lad for his first away match and thought this would be ideal but alas, no tickets left...

I would doubt it, you get that one section and there’s Oxford fans next to it….

The tickets that went on sale online to the 3rd tier of sales (season ticket holders with less than 60 points) at midnight last night were all gone in about 15 minutes.
They should have held some back for telephone sales this morning so if you phone first thing you may be lucky.
I’m fairly sure we won’t get any more than the 3 blocks already sold and they won’t go to general sale.

Obviously was going to be very popular and looks to be the case that even "Team Potter", whatever that is, will miss out. A ground that was clearly built when Oxford were more than in the doldrums and hence why they are looking for a further move away from the Kasam.

Just rang, completely sold out - on the waiting list.
Thanks to whoever suggested ringing, it never occurred to me that they may hold a few back, checked at half midnight and assumed all were gone. Cheers.

They are moving from the Kasaam because Kasaam wants them out when the lease expires in 2026. The new ground on the northern outskirts near Oxford parkway station and next to a park and ride linking it to the City Centre will be a whole big improvement. BM

BM They haven't got full planning permission yet the last time I looked, so may have to ground share somewhere if Kassam won't give them an extension on the lease.

Could they not afford to build a 4th stand?

Could they not afford to build a 4th stand? From what I gather it's not their stadium, so it was more than suitable for a 4th division Oxford. I dare say the owners don't want to and it sounds like there's some lease issues. It would have been an idea though!

I live in Oxford and I'm worried about this game, they're riding a bit of a crest of a wave after promotion and I'll never hear the end of it if they beat us. They've signed some half decent players too. The Kassam is a dump, Fairoz Kassam bought the club for £1 and then built the 'stadium' and a bowling alley/cinema etc complex for him to make money out of it. He pulled the cash out before they could build the 4th stand and basically rinsed the club which sent them spiralling down to the conference. They've done really well to come back up on a budget and the new stadium looks impressive (if they can get planning sorted). Anyone expecting a day out around the dreaming spires and the Thames will be very disappointed. It's on a crappy estate called Blackbird Leys out of town with nothing around apart from the bowling alley/cinema etc.

It’s not the greatest but its reputation is worse than in reality. Plus, the stadium is on the nicer end of Blackbird Leys (if there is one)

Could they not afford to build a 4th stand? Even if they had the money to do that, the space occupied where you’d build a stand is occupied by a car park for the ‘Festival Park’ development next door.
