Good job most on here were not around (or on here at least as it wasn't around) when we signed them non scoring strikers stein,sheron etc!! The scoring striker/s I remember signing were tudor and Bamber and look how they turned out🫣🫣 Considering it’s been 23 years since Thorne left and we haven’t had a striker score 20 goals since I think it’s fair to say Stoke fans are the subject matter experts when it comes to shit strikers. |

Jebbison isn't shit, he's very decent. Big, strong(ish) and quick. His goal record so far just screams he should be a rotation option and not a front line signing though. It's a lot of pressure to heap on a young lad with little to no pedigree IMO. Let's see how it pans out between now and the end of the window. Jebbison is not a finisher. If he signs, he’ll score 8 at the very most. |

You'd think he's the Lowe and Tezgel replacement, with a proper front liner to come into the mix? Mmaee I reckon will be moved on late on deadline day and you're left with a pool of Gallagher, Jebbison (or similar profile) and A N Other. Just Jebbison as the front liner would be a big risk IMO. Just when I was getting a bit depressed about our striker situation you come along again with your jaunty take on it and I’m now f’ing suicidal. Happy days! |

For some context, his absence from the Sheffield United team was about illness as well as injuries. He’d got blood clots and sounds like Sheffield were super cautious about him. It’s probably stunted progress for him, but he needs a new landing spot to start fresh. I think a lot of the stats look worse too because he was largely used as a sub for Sheffield United.
He’s clearly got something about him - Sheffield United were involving him in the Premier League at 17, he’s played for England at various youth levels and there’s been strong links to some elite clubs.

Bournemouth wouldn’t have spent all that money on him, if he they thought he was crap. 21, quick and some height which we miss too.
Would probably prefer Stansfield and/or Cannon, but wouldn’t mind Jebbison, if he went Watford and we missed out (without knowing were interested) people would go mad.
People have been going mad over that striker who Sunderland are linked with, but Jebbison has the same record and is younger and arguably the better player.

In his only real run in the league, he did get 9 in just over 1300 mins at Burton - and it does seem the hive mind of the Championship think he's one of the better loans around this summer given the scramble for him. Don't suppose he's a Plan A type, and we'd all prefer a permanent or something more proven, but we can't wait forever unless we want Ennis up top in September. |
