They get something on their screen to check if it's not a full adults ticket - eg, kid or pensioner. Otherwise anyone can go through. If you were ever stopped - which you wouldn't be - just say your wife must have gone through on yours.

I have 3 kids and only got 2 tickets as they never all want to come. Usually I have to force any of them if I'm honest.
So they just interchange, the turnstile just checks the age of the ticket with the individual, not the identity. Works fine.

Thanks for that appreciate it. We are thinking of safe standing how have people found this any issues Cheers I've found the safe standing fine but it's what I wanted to do anyway, just remember if you have youngsters and go safe standing they may not be able to see and you can't ask the person in front to sit down so first row of the standing if your doing that.

No mate nothing like the old days they are literally a bar in front of you, you couldn't sit on them or you would be with the person in fronts space, not really safe to sit on.

Do you get little kids standing on the seats? That’s what my lad did when we went in the away bit at Chelsea.. he got a bit tired but at least saw most of the action

Found the safe standing really good yesterday. Good atmosphere before and start of the game until wba scored. My grandson could see fine also. 👍
