Maybe, but what if he gets knackered in his first game and is injured for 2 months? That isn't exactly unheard of at Stoke. Also, the transfer team should be able to work on several players at once. The commercial side of signing a Japanese player can also be a good thing. Anyone have any idea on how much we've made because of Baes profile in SK? £2.68 at the last count. And half a curly Wurly don’t forget that |

Hmm, looking at his stats I'm getting the same unconvinced Mehdi Leris feeling. To be fair, I think those Wikipedia stats are out of date. He's played all but one league match this season (25) and played 28 games last season. Was also there in 2022 when they finished 2nd in the league but only played 13 games. Definitely feels like someone is on their way out of our midfield though if we are seriously in for him. As much as I thought he was a good signing it could hopefully be him. If it is right for us and him of course. |

MF Sekoju (26) leaves the team to prepare for a move to English second division side Stoke. Essentially a back-up player (in the words of one of their fans), who's started about half the games, for a J-League team in the last 2 seasons. Could be a triumph of scouting - and Japanese players tend to slot in well so it may be that we're still sleeping on the overall quality of the league and the ability of their players to step up - but just seems...random, to the point that I'm still not sure it's happening despite it walking like a duck, swimming like a duck, and quacking like a duck. But if we don't see him as a starter ( we don't need anyone who isn't a step above the likes of Thompson), seems a bit odd. If we do see him as a starter, I'd like to see the player that's been largely keeping him out of the team?! |

We must have plans to offload 2 or maybe 3 from Baker, Laurent, Johnson and Pearson however having already signed Lawal and Moran. Then we have Thompson, Burger and Sidibe
It feels a bit Nathan Jones esque when he neglected left back but bought loads of midfielders in. Hence paying the price as every team knew we were weak there.
We simply must get a striker, right back and another centre back in, I'm sure they are working on it
