Is it just me or is there very little interest in this game? Maybe it’s just Watford away syndrome but usually pre match threads have a bit of pre match discussion. Almost feels like a friendly! And it’s huge imo. A result here represents an excellent start to the season. Tough game. I’d settle for a point. i just think no one how has a clue how the game will go tbf |

They have had a better start than us despite being favourites to go down for many people. Season starts are odd times. I’d settle for a score draw, a good game and a goal for Emre. But a win in a shitefest from an oggy will be preferable…

We should probably go to try and win the game in the 1st half with our best team available and defend for our lives in the 2nd should we manage to get ahead, we don't seem to have the strength in depth on the bench to be able to put up that much of a challenge in the 2nd half where they should be on top and be able to make better changes overall Which is the opposite to what happened against Cov, where he started Gooch up top probably as a defensive play to later bring on more attacking players and it was Baker off the bench that made the difference. I reckon he’ll try and recreate. We played much better 1st half and should have been one or two goals ahead and we took our only chance in the 2nd. Baker got us the win but let's not pretend that sub made the difference as part of the original plan, we went after Coventry early. How we got the win wasn't how we approached the game |

We set up more defensively in the first half and brought on more offensive players in the second, I think he’ll do the same again today. Is Mmaee still unavailable, even for the bench? He’ll be on the bench. Schuey mentioned that he didn’t play for the u21s yesterday so he could be a part of the squad today, unlikely to get much game time tho |

Really puzzled with the Shuemacher comments before this game. It will be a really tough game, against a good team with plenty of power and pace up top. Exactly, so why the f**k haven't we got any of the same, if he recognises it as a key strength for teams ?

Win at home, draw away. I'll be happy with a point this early in the season when every team is finding their feet. Anything more is a bonus. A loss is irritating but not the end of the world unless we're played off the park.

He’s predictably gone with the same starting 11. Lots of quality on the bench, hopefully he uses them wisely again.
The challenge will be, where are the goals coming from, so we need to keep it very tight at the back, and have a plan to cover their pace (with our 2 slow CBs).
Hopefully we start on the front again. Come on Stoke!

As ever I would take a 0-0, but a win would make next weeks local "derby" into a humdinger (and I am coming over for it!!)
