Came across this on BBC football. Nearly £2b spent on players in current squad, many will go or are already loaned out. It’s obscene and how they get around FFP I’ve no idea. Fucking bonkers….. Attachment Deleted

Basket case of a club, their fans can't be happy with how it's being run.

Just looked closer at the players and there's at least ten 17-19 year olds for which they paid over £170m in total including £51m for a 17 year old. Where is the control over this lunacy?

They have , i think , 7 or 8 goalkeepers I read that too Their 7th choice keeper cost 17 million I just can't believe the powers aren't doing anything about these bonkers rules. It's certainly feels like the FFP is designed to assist the top 7 or 8 amd everyone else can fuck off

Someone told me that rule got changed now.

There should be a limited number of players in the first team squad (probably is, but should include youngsters getting games for the first team too) and there should be a limited number of players that can be loaned to other clubs. A wage cap system where only 5 players could earn above a certain amount, the next 5 players over a certain amount, the next 5 the same and the last 10 should get the same wages. Maybe then it would be more tempting to play for a smaller club instead of being on the bench for a big club?

That list doesn’t even include Nkunku that I can see and will soon have Netto. It’s a shame that other clubs can’t agree to refuse to loan to business with them. Then they’d find themselves in a whole load of trouble.

I believe the income from loaning out players is lucrative. Didn’t we pay Chelsea around £7m for Cat Kicker Zouma's season loan in relegation year?

I think having good lawyers and knowing your way around the rules helps a great deal. Remember it wasn't long ago Stoke sold the stadium and training ground to BET365 and now we are owned I believe debt free with John Coates. It is a farce that Chelsea for years have been stock piling young players, but it is within the rules.
