Finally got round to watching it, what a great video it was. Two things stood out to me that go against some of things I've read on here over recent weeks. Firstly, the people on here who I've seen saying SJW is "completely out of his depth", watching that, and maybe I'm just clueless about how football works, but he sounded extremely clued up to me.
Secondly, and this one is maybe just me reading into things, but the question about will we still sign foreign players, the way that was answered about how we now have a great scouting set-up with people monitoring all leagues & areas & what not, it seemed like he was pretty much saying that all the "Jared signings" from last season were actually due to the scouts not Jared, and that's why they've moved him on. (Again, maybe that was just me, but it's certainly how it felt to me).

All looked genuinely “in tune” with each other which is the total opposite of when I attended the last one.
Please listen carefully to what’s been said, some interesting points on all subjects especially recruitment. Check out the apparent “genuine” camaraderie and respect for each other’s roles and responsibilities.
Refreshing for the nay sayers.

I used to go to there things and have little interest now, pleased they sound like a good team but bottom line is what matters is results. We start tomorrow and look way off a good team for this league.
The next test is the deadline which will set the course for the first half of the season, still plenty to do.

Must admit I had questioned whether walters’ lack of experience was hurting us (mostly down to the lack of transfer activity) but I honestly can’t fault one thing that he said in the forum. Fair play - all three lads came across well - hoping we can take that forward step this year and continue to kick on under their leadership. |
