There were loads that seem to have just given up posting, I think I scared a few off, I suppose I could of been a bit of a wind up occasionally back then. There wasn't a week that went by without someone wanting to meet up for a chat  until I popped up in Delilah's as it was then and introduced myself. I've mellowed a bit now and mainly pop in for a quick read of what's going on. Remember Hudsongod and his red card protest, the Amigos, the PHW and the rimmers PMSL there's been some really funny times on here, sadly those times have gone now and the boards been hijacked by a few with a lot to say about fuck all - there's not even any good arguments. Just to say that I am ITK though but can't be arsed to share any of it with you miserable bunch of fuckers  Gouranga.  |

Mind you if you go back that far you must have one or two old Proboards names too. Well Rivals ended in December 2007, shortly before we beat Sheffield United 3-0. That's coming up to 17 years ago. There's plenty of scope for loads of people to have come and gone and changed user name etc. And some would have no idea about rivals or fenetre. Fenetre, was that what the Oatcake was based on before rivals? I was sad when the Oatcake joined rivals, but the weekly invasion of our board by the fans of our next opponent seemed to focus us on keeping them in their place rather than deriding our own team/fans. |

Robvandurzen/toxic avenger, dozintheseventies, Ianrb Had some good football debates with them. Slogger was going to beat me up, I posted my seat location but never saw anyone fitting the description. Wasn't it IanRB who started the classic thread "Where are Stoke - below us again!"...... in the year we beat them in the semifinal? It was extra ironic because I think at the time Cardiff had finished above us in something like 6 seasons since they entered the league! |

Then registered for proboards in 2021 and went on to make over 10,000 posts my senses tell me there was something in between but that's his business really I wouldn't have mentioned it if he hadn't mentioned rivals. I've got no room to talk about anyone's posting history or what their name was when they posted it. I wasn't on about anyone specifically mate. |

Plenty of reds but the greys seem to give my garden a wide berth thanks to my efforts with the gun in the early years here. Sadly, an 18 month wait for a prostate op has dominated my time recently. The consultant seems to think I may only have another 3 months to wait- I hope he is right, A healthy prostate is the size of a walnut At diagnosis mine was the size of a small apple. A year ago it was the size of a grapefruit. I suspect it is the size of a premature baby by now!  Keeping everything crossed for you John. I guess you have to keep certain things crossed more now than you used to  Best wishes LP |

Hope everything goes well for you Forny, thought you had been too quiet for too long. Miss your balanced views on all things Stoke, you will be back on the skis and up the fells in no time. Thanks for the kind words. I still manage to get quite a bit of fell walkibg done but my skiing career ended 4 years ago when I was 74. A dislocated shoulder didn't heal as well as it should have done and the doctor and physio told me I would be running too big a risk if I kept on skiing,  wow, 78, time flies, doesn't seem that long ago that you retired and moved up to the lakes. Good luck with the operation when it finally gets done. |
