I must admit I had to cause quite a scene for them to notice. I was walking around one day and a guy offered 3 camels for the Mrs, I said give me 4 and it’s a deal. She wasn’t impressed, we broke up not too long after Did she get the hump? She wouldn’t let me😉 |

I haven't been anywhere in the last quarter of a century. I do no longer believe in travelling, journeys and meetings with other foreign people. It doesn't appeal to me at all.

Fairly quiet this year due to starting a new job and a drop in holiday entitlement. Weeks AI in Kusadasi early last month. 6 nights near Murcia at the end of next month along with my annual(ish) 4 day bender at a Belgian festival in a few weeks. Might look at October half terms if there's any decent last minute deals going and the weather looks OK.

Austin and Denver at the end of August. Back for 6 weeks then off up the lakes. Fancy a week away at Christmas too, not sure where but tempted by SE Asia if anyone has any recommendations? The Thai Islands Koh Samui, Phangan and Tao are excellent if it's relaxing you're after, easily as good as any Carribbean Islands. If you prefer more of a sightseeing type thing you could do Bangkok-Chang Mai-Siem Reap-Pnomh Penh-Ho Chi Minh in two weeks without too much trouble. Stop over in Dubai for a couple of nights on the way if you fly Emirates 🙂 |

Can’t recall seeing one before so here we go. A nice thread for you to tell us all where you off on your holidays and where we can share tips and places to visit while you’re there. I’ll start: Naples in 3 weeks time for a week. Looking to visit Rome, Pompeii and a couple of beaches on the coast. Anyone been before? It’s a special trip for Mrs Orbs and I as we celebrate 25 years of marriage. They say " see Naples and die". I say see Naples and watch your pockets and backpacks. Bustling and busy place, great to travel out from as you are planning to. Best pizzas ever. |

Will bring the family to England. Spend a few days in Exeter, then Stoke, then Birmingham and back to Heathrow. Next year, we are going to Vegas for Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania is a free event every Friday night up Hanley duck. |

Did a short break in Krakow in June for the missus’s birthday, superb place.
Got a wedding in Portugal in three weeks which I can’t wait for because once again we’ve had no summer here for the second successive year.
Did want to try and get to Malta next year if possible so I can ask the other half “the” question but we’re saving for a house deposit so I’ve got to figure that one out yet.

Koh Kood in Thailand You have the tourist traps like Koh Phangan and Koh Samui , the Benidorms of Thailand for the Kiss me Quick hat brigades and Khao San in Bangkok, avoid . You might as well go to Spain. |

Skiathos this year in September. Only ever had fleeting visits there while using the airport. Love the Greek Islands and done loads of them over the years so interested to see how it compares.
