Unfortunately from the heart warming and sublime above to the ridiculous and dangerous. Over at the Olympic Wife Beating Arena there were no surprises as one solid shot to the coupon, and apparent broken nose, finished this one as a contest within 40 seconds. Unconfirmed reports that the national anthem at this event's medal ceremony will be replaced by Ludachris hit 'Move Bitch - Get out the way!' That Italian lady deserves huge respect for even getting in the ring. Must have been horrendous knowing how to approach it - getting in the ring, taking a massive smack to the face and then just going 'Fuck this - I'm out' is probably overall going to be more powerful than if she'd refused to fight because people can now literally see how mental it is! |

Absolutely. I'm amazed that this can take place at the Olympics, it would be incredibly difficult to get this sanctioned as a 'pro' fight. Kellie Harrington also beat Imane Khelif in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on the way to gold for Ireland, in fact she battered her 5-0 on points.
I'm not downplaying the potential for disaster for a sport like boxing to have a complete mismatch of a bout but it doesn't seem like previous to these games there's been an issue of her having a massive power advantage over her opponents? (yes I know she was suspended for the World Championships in 2022)

Im not saying the concerns aren’t real of course they are, but what’s changed, have her testosterone levels gone up? (I would expect them to be monitored closely but I could be wrong?)
