We did it with 16+ donations (I'll have to count everything up later) I’m sure lots of you remember Den the Dynamo Kyiv fan who was so welcoming when Stoke went to play. Our own castleblack went out and saw how bad the power situation is since Russia bombed the power plants. He’s been proper proactive and found a great deal on a power pack that he’ll get to Den since some people he knows are driving over next week. It sucks right now with sometimes only a few hours of power each day, families living on the 11th or 20th floor with no working lifts, fridges or AC for most of the day, and winter could be worse. A power pack would really help Den’s family through the winter, and if a few of us pitch in (even just a little bit each!) it’ll really send a message to Den that Stokies have his back and be a real morale boost. Castleblack’s busy and doesn’t spend much time on the internet so he asked me to post – if anyone’s willing to pitch in or wants to share support, you can you reply to this thread or DM me, and I’ll DM back with castleblack’s Paypal info. Vis Unita Fortior! I totally trust castleblack on this, here he is with Den the other week. And Den doesn't know we're doing this, it was all castleblack's brilliant idea. It feels a bit weird posting this, but someone we know is facing serious trouble right now and we can help so I thought I'd go with it...

Sounds good mate. I'm happy to pitch in once this takes off. I reckon for traction you should have put it in the original Dens thread.
FYI, the power pack you shared has a UK plug so not sure if it'd work too well in Ukraine.
You're probably better of upgrading to the Delta 2 model. It's a couple of hundred euros more.

I don't mind verifying myself to the site but I don't want my name and email public and that's what PayPal and gofundme tried to do. Then gofundme say they need to do an investigation because it's related to Russia-Ukraine. |

I'll ask anyone who donates to DM me the amount they chipped in and will keep a running total up top - but I won't reveal individual donation amounts. This is all about trying to show Den that a bunch of people support him, even if we can't all afford a lot. I'll rely on your DMs because obviously I can't see castleblack's paypal account!
Keeping track is a great idea from foster.

Think I messaged back everyone from today and wow it's been amazing to see the support from everyone.
Foster had a top idea about doing an e-card with messages of support for Den. Made me realise foster's the smart one here and should probably be project manager for this stuff! I'll sort it when the pack is on its way and get in touch with everyone about it.

Morning oatcakers,,,,,i would just like to say a huge thank you and what a great response there has been to help buy a powerpack for Denys, up to now there is nearly £200 in the kitty and more pledged,WELL DONE LADS.,,, I would like to thank mrstudent for his help in oiling the wheels and getting the appeal underway and onto the oatcake board,cheers mate. the powerpack should be on its way to Denys later this week so i will keep you all posted on progress. If anyone else wants to chip in please message me for details. Doing it by Paypal, although I did have someone transfer to me and then Paypal'd to castleblack. Any small donations (literally throwing in a quid) would be really nice because if Den sees 15 or even 20 people pitched in then that'll show him & his family a lot of love when they really deserve it and could definitely use some.

Hopefully it arrives in time to go on a convoy of vehicles being donated from the London ULEZ scrappage scheme (current plan is to leave Thursday). If there are postage delays there's a lorry going in August.
I've asked for photos of the journey to post as it goes 👍

Guys... Friends... As mtrstudent said it was a real surprise for me... Honestly, hard to find words. I am so touched and feel really uncomfortable at the same time. Very emotional. Thank you very much, friends. You know I thank every single person supporting Ukraine, but I tried not to bother anyone with my personal problems. What you did is just fantastic. Really.
