The new owners of West Brom bought an 89% stake of the club for £60m recently. Not sure what their training ground and other facilities are like compared to ours, nor the debt that they had but I'd say the clubs are about the same in size, fanbase etc.......

The only way the club is being sold is if one of us chumps wins big in the euro mega lottery and bags summat daft like 400m and fancies spunking it all on buying the club and setting it up as a fan owned venture whilst leaving a 200m endowment in the club as an ongoing legacy. Which would be nice 😃

There were no money available to be paid out, noone of the winners got their money. Surely must have been a lottery with a similar name?! Heard of that? In Sweden we have Euro Jackpot. Germany often wins, I don't know how many countries participate, but sometimes you can win more than 1.000.000.000 (£74M). |
