Happy father's day to all on here who are father's. After the terrible news yesterday it shows you've got to cherish every moment with your kids. Have a great day.

This is my first one. Wife has just started day one of her first set of night shifts (a rough return to work from maternity leave). He’s just really started sleeping through until about 4 without an additional feed. Feels amazing!
Happy Father’s Day to all.

Does anyone ever have a nice card from their kids? As youngsters they have all been pictures of gorillas farting etc. Now they're in their thirties .....HAPPY FATHERS DAY....I know that over the years its been hard work having to deal with such an aggravating, juvenile shit bag but don't worry, your worth it. What use are they

7 pairs of pants, Puma golf top and a Toblerone. And I don't mean a medium sized one, I mean a large one. Not a bad haul. I did need some more pants.
First Father's day without my own dad, who passed away in April. Make the most of your time with your parents while they are still here, if you can. They won't be around forever.

Sorry to hear about your dad mate, must have been difficult at times today. On the plus side, that’s not a bad haul for Father’s Day👍🏻

Not the happiest of days for me, I fell out with my dad about 6 years ago before he emigrated to Spain and we haven’t spoken since. I wouldn’t know where to start tbh.

That's some bullshit mate, sorry that happened. I've delayed relationship, kids etc because I think being a good dad is about the most important thing you could possibly do. The idea of fucking up scares me.

That's top advice. It feels hard day to day to find time, but then afterwards the excuses sound stupid. I'm thinking of my Nan here, I fucked up and I'm trying not to do the same with my parents.

Growing up I never had a great relationship with my Dad he just wasn't that kind of Dad that related to children Then as I became an adult when it was possible to talk he upped and died and I never got to say or ask the things I wanted to. If you have any unfinished questions, be the one to make the effort, you may not get a chance later.

You don’t get to choose your parents. Six years is a long time; he may be feeling exactly the same way. The only way to find out is a phone call. I hope you do what’s right for you, whatever that ends up being.

Only in later life I really got to know my dad and understood what a talented genial man he was. Going to Stoke home games with him was great fun, total days out starting at Knypersley and getting the coach. He took me to my first game in 1967 so the legacy lives on. A more tolerant human being it'd be difficult to find and was forever helpful and supportive, gone 18 months now, he's definitely missed.

Dad was 93 when he had to give it up, the walk from coach up into Q railing just became a bit too much. He used to describe Saturday mornings at Stoke tech then walking to the Vic for games. Lost him aged 96.
