Went here on Friday to watch Rhod Gilbert and went in the Piano bar for the 1st time, absolutely lovely place but dear me, £17 for a pint and a glass of wine! I know the theatre is supposed to be a bit 'posher' than your average night out in Stoke but blimey o riley.

Love a bit of theatre, went to Olde London Towne to watch Back To The Future stage show, bought 2 glasses of wine to take in and 2 for the interval - £68.
Made me savour it that little bit more.

TBF prices at the New Vic seem reasonable. I guess they value repeat business.

Off subject slightly but for the wife’s 50th I took her to Prague, pre booked a showing (Barber of Seville) at the excellent Prague National Opera House, paid for the champagne package, which wasn’t cheap believe me and at the interval drinks/food on the balcony, wife then asked if we could leave as she was bored shitless 🤬🤬🤬🤬

it grates me so much how some venues/places rip you off on drink
If spoons can do lager for £3.50 anything over double that is taking the piss, but it wont change while people pay it
Last summer It cost me £5 parking plus £70 for for breakfasts and a drink each at the airport pub (Manchester) followed by £23 for two lagers and a wine in the airport. plus over priced water from the wh smith. This year i aint fucking about £140 for four of us to have 3 hours in the all inclusive lounge. I will get our moneys worth

She even complained they were singing in Italian… There was a large screen above the stage briefly explaining what the actors were trying to portray, again she complained that it didn’t make sense to her, well I tried.. you can take a girl out of Stoke but not the Stoke out of the girl.

Flew back from Izmir Airport on Friday, €13.50 for a 50cl bottle of beer. €7.50 for a pack of polo's! And the McDonald's at Dalaman Airport must be the most expensive in the world. Nearly 21 euros for a quarter pounder meal.
