Does the campaign move on to lobby for terracing?
That's what people wanted, not standing in front of a seat with the seat lid removed.
Freedom.

Interestingly the plan was always for Stoke Fans to go in that section by the tunnel when the stadium was opened but Jez Moxey ruled against it and got his way. Funny to think it's taken until 2024 to overturn a Moxey decision! I've been in that section before, must be 20 years ago now but we had a random game against (I'm sure it was) Southend & for some reason we flipped the stand & had home fans by the tunnel & the away fans over the Sentinel Stand side of the end. I was due to sit in the Boothen like always but no chance I was missing out on this 'once in a life time' chance to sit by the tunnel so me & mar mate nipped round the ticket office & swapped our tickets. Felt great to hurl a load of abuse at the opposition players & ref as they walked off!

As part of the new atmosphere enhancing improvements fans in the South Stand have to dance for the first ten minutes of each half so Iβd imagine the seats have been left in so they can have a rest?

For showing your disapproval should we ever be 5 down after 30 minutes lob it on the pitch. Game abandoned. We have forward thinking owners.

It's obvious, silly. Standing on if it's a standing area.

If I remember right we also had the block directly by the tunnel for the first ever league match vs. Swindon in 1997 Not many in the South Stand that day. Swindon hardly brought any fans either.

Swindon fans were deffo over that side yes, I was sat in the Sentinel Stand that day down near that end & can remember the small number of Swindon fans being right next to us. Can't remember if we actually had fans at the tunnel side or not though. On a different note was that also the game where we got Sir Stan to take a peno at the Boothen End & he hit it so soft it stopped before the line? ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif)

Why does everyone think they have removed the seats? Be silly to do that, i shall be sitting in my seat at half time with a pie and drink and to give my old knees a rest can't wait to be back legally standing though ππ

What does this do if anything to overall ground capacity ,anyone know? Under the safe standing regs people are still assigned a seat (space) which you are supposed to stand in. Its not like the old terraces where you could stand where you wanted.

So new away end are Blocks 34-38, 1 more than previous? 39-40 basically sold out in the safe standing, 41 half full and 42 about 20%.
Not available for 42 in the bottom section next to tunnel presumably will be covered, released on demand.
The inner blocks of the away end 35-36 used for smaller allocations.
Looks about 10% gone in the bottom sections with normal seats.

The seats stay, they just put in railings. Mad how some donβt get itπ€¦πΌββοΈππ΄βͺοΈ I remember Dr Chris on This Morning saying that there are three types of people in the world; those with piles, those that have had piles and those that will get them. I was in the full bloom of young carefree adulthood and it right put me on a downer.

They were made available after 10am the day of the game and sold quickly. They put an announcement in Radio Stoke that was another block available due to the poor away sales although they didn't mention the away sales, just that had released more tickets.

They will be the additional blocks for away fans for cup games or if we decided to allow more away fans for a league game.......

After reading through this thread I'm still not sure why the standing area has seats π€ I know what you mean. I would be the same if I hadn't been to St Andrews on boxing day and it was incredible, you could stand, sit or lie down if you wanted (certainly needed to when that third goal went in).
