So if all it is is putting a rail in front of seats do you still have a seat/space number when you buy a ticket. Or is it the old fashioned free for all and stand where you want ?

If its the same as the scheme that happend in Shrewsbury (which was the original trail) you still have the allocated seat, however there was a rod inserted not allowing the seats to be lowered, then a rail to the front to essentially lean on but there not to allow the old fashioned surges yiu used to get. As I understood it back then if yiu paid to stand yiu do not have the facility to sit at all

Pre all seater, I loved the old Vic and was as gutted as everyone when We left. I went the the shrews with a mate once and was expecting to be able to pull the seat down at half time... You couldn't so that was my point I was making vwey badly lol

I've avmcually been a few times, my best pal is a pompey fan so used to go with him in the away end, to be fair to shrews it's a nice little set up wit a fan zone and even a couple of local woods brewery real ales stands, we wouldn't go far wrong to replicate it on our scale

Some rails going up the steps in the ground would be nice!

The area was fenced off today. First time I’ve been in Ricardo’s too and it’s an impressive venue isn’t it? Somewhere you’d actually want to go to outside of a matchday too.

Just keep an eye on all these bricks in the wall Safe standing. Fan zone . Concourse work new keeper two of last seasons better performers in the successful end team signed already. Number of squad places and wage bill freed up and its only may 17th The phoenix is rising Ah there we have it, it’s the Astral Phoenix for the opposite of the Gravity Crocodile. Surely it should be the Elevation Alligator?

Not sure why that's being reported on now, sure it had been all agreed a good while a go now! Work definitely starts next week so guessing this is old news as wouldn't be able to jack up the works at such short notice

Never been one for standing at games but many prefer it so good we now have it . Is the safe standing just basically a seat without a seat and a rail to lean on? Still numbered etc?

The logistical side of things will have been in place for months.

Has any other ground got anything like that?

Workers & Plant just sat in limbo one week, fingers crossing they get the nod from the council to be able to start work next week 🤔?! Must have had a good idea it was going to be approved without any issues or had some sort of early heads up. The initial application went in last October so there must have been no obvious forseen issues to have everything in place ready to start next week.

if we got back to the top flight, having both the south stand and the boothen standing would be brilliant, probably only possible if we are in the top flight imo Can’t see much advantage if it’s allocated standing. They need to make it cashless pay on entry and unallocated so groups can turn up on the day and stand together. Of course its allocated standing. I was in the safe standing seats @ Southampton and they were normal seats, just with a metal bar in the front

Guessing the worst case scenario prior to this stage would have been a report sent back to SCFC to tweak certain bits & pieces but sounds like good prior prep work by Stoke including licences etc had all been submitted and agreed. With reference to the hours of business and affecting local residents, wouldn't have thought that area where its to be sited would have a big impact on many locals but guessing if hosting live music etc noise can travel, even over and beyond the noisey A50

The nearest houses depending on the direction have the following between them and the fanzone - a pub, warehouse or 2, car garage or 2, a main road or 2, a railway, a football ground, an incinerator, a council tip and a partridge and a pear tree. Fucking jokers.

Some rails going up the steps in the ground would be nice! In not sure you've thought the logistics of this one through, or do we all after duck under the rail to get into our rows? 😁 I used to stand in the Boothern always with a barrier behind me and by the steps between block A & B probably 5 metre down from the entrance/exit walkways.. After the 1970 dirty Leeds crash barrier callopse which was just behind me . people were getting crushed against the barrier behind me. They then put a barrier along side the steps in certain areas joining the horizontal ones (not all the way down) which I then had to duck under to claim my usual spot !
