I’ve been really interested in learning more about financial literacy recently. One of the things that I read which just gave me a lot of respect for how clever some businessmen are, is the McDonalds CEO saying that they are not really a burger company, they are a real estate company: www.wallstreetsurvivor.com/mcdonalds-beyond-the-burger/“we are not technically in the food business. We are in the real estate business. The only reason we sell fifteen-cent hamburgers is because they are the greatest producer of revenue, from which our tenants can pay us our rent.” McDonald’s cares about buying lots on corners that it believes will one day be even more expensive and it uses the rent from those who believe the franchise will make them money to do it. I’m not sure if this is commonly understood and I’ve just missed it over the years but to me, it’s kind of blown my mind.

Burger King are even smarter, they allow McDonald's spend Multi-million $ researching Prime Locations and then open a Franchise across the Street

Burger King are even smarter, they allow McDonald's spend Multi-million $ researching Prime Locations and then open a Franchise across the Street And have better burgers 🍔 😉 but you have to wate 45 minutes for them to be cooked whilst you remortgage your home at my last job me and two others used to have a mcD breakfast as a friday treat. not much change out of a £20. switched to bfast wraps from 6 towns on campbell road, betterfood half the price
