I don't know if you're watching, but I would say in Sweden ice hockey is slightly more popular than football.
Great Britain are playing Canada atm. And it's 1-1 after the first period. GB are playing well and the swedish commentator was impressed. I just turned on the tv.

Last time, the World Champs in 2023 Canada took the gold, Germany got the silver and Lettland sensationally the bronze.
Sweden only 6th then.

Canada had a 6-1 lead against Austria. But it ended 6-6 after the third period. Sensational.
So it went to an extra period. But it didn't take long, just a matter of seconds before the canadian captain scored the winner on his own.

Not that much against Kazakhstan perhaps, but against Germany and Latvia Sweden sure looked like gold candidates this time.

When we play France, Great Britain meet Norway. Good luck!
Great Britain started joining the World Championships about hundred years ago.
Great Britain have a total of two bronze, two silver and one gold medal (1936).

Great Britain lost 2-5 to Norway and are relegated, again. One step forward, one step back. Sweden will probably play Finland in the Quarter final. Good luck.

Sweden-Finland 1-1
Extra 10 mins period. A Finnish player sent off. Very strange decision actually. He didn't bring the Swede down or tackled him. I must be neutral enough to say this. And Sweden score the winner.

Chech Republic-Sweden, semi final today.
Could be a tricky one, since they're playing at home. Starts at 14.20 (swe time), meaning 13.20 engl time.
