...No it's not Mothers Day i was just thinking, what's your favourite these days? Dyson seem to be the popular choice but, in my opinion their battery power and suction are pretty weak. Henry's too have gone down bank. Shark?.....meh potato potahto Quite tempted to try a roomba as its the only chance it will be used regularly in my Shed house but again... power???. i do have one mighty impressive, old vacuum cleaner i use for work. It's so powerful it would suck your cock'n'balls clean off in 3 seconds flat (they dont make them loke that anymore) but please be careful out there and it was an Aldi special Parkside wet & dry (pre Euro laws) any good recommendations appreciated

We have had roombas before. I think that they are fine if you don’t have dogs. We do, so I found them kind of crap.
We do have a dyson. It’s okay as long as you stick to hoovering every 5 or so days.

Miele cleaners are the ones that I get for Mrs Pretzel, a bit expensive but worth the extra £££'s She used to get through a vacuum cleaner every 12 months or so, mainly because she'd start at one end of the house and not stop until she'd done it all (by which time the brushes were glowing white hot and the plastic melting). It was a case of either change the wife or get an extra vacuum for upstairs and instating a strict regime of letting one cool down while using the other. They seem to last a bit longer now.

Marlady told me last week she gets better suction through the pipe with Phillips. This has got me thinking. Do Phillips make vacuum cleaners? They‘d better.

My Vax has lasted at least twenty years, but that might be a reflection on how much I use it.

So I can highly recommend my vacuum cleaner: Electrolux Pure D8.2 Silence Silent. Smart. Efficient. Notice: it comes in a range of different colours and it's the same model but the colour dictates the price. Price range 1600 (£120) to 4800 (£360) depending on the chosen colour. It's absurd! I asked the salesperson why the red vacuum cleaner costed 4800 SEK while the dust grey I picked costed 1600 SEK?? Is it the same model? To my surprise, she said: "Yes, it's a Pure D8.2 Silence, both of them. The price differs due to the colour and it's nothing strange at all. The housewives in the west or in the city center demand the clear red version. It's very obvious so we can have these different prices therefore." 🤠 On my way home by the bus I wondered, do they put it on the shelf for display? I have it in a cupboard.

Can it Deshed my large Afghan, and still have room to vacuum all the used tissues under my bed? Dog hair no problems. It comes with two different nozzles, one has the smart mode function which feels and adjust the power depending on where you use it. Three positions on it: rug, floor and smart. You'll get another nozzle as well specially designed for parquet floors and wood floor. It's so silent you have to check if it's on, if you use the nozzle in smart or floor mode. It also comes with a 3-in-1 accessory. It has a brush at one end. At the other end you can adjust it to be a small hole or wide. It comes with 2 S-bags. They are pretty large. The cable is long as well. From one room to the other. And it has a nice grip and you can attach everything on the side of it.

I’ve got a Henry, I treat him like a pet. He’s a right awkward twat for doing stairs and stuff but I can’t part with him, I’ll wait until he passes away peacefully and then I shall have 2 weeks mourning before plucking up the courage to buy something that isn’t such a fucking pain in the arse!

For that you'll need an industrial vacuum cleaner. Tissues shouldn't lie around anywhere. Not recommended to use the vacuum cleaner for them.

Gone cordless because, despite multiple demonstrations, the lady of la Maison is simply unable to grasp that two hooks, horizontally aligned, with one facing up and the other down, might just be an ideal cord storage system.
