Good at first but now long queues, high fares and dropped destinations.

Good at first but now long queues, high fares and dropped destinations. Still brilliant.

Been through it loads of times and only queued twice, most occasions get put on the earlier train.
I think it’s one of the things we got right.

This is the exact reason the government should not have canned HS2. Can anyone name any one single large infrastructure project we think in retrospect we should NOT have done? From the Channel Tunnel to the M25 to the Manchester Metrolink. Or even the 'D' Road. But for the last 30 years we just unable to get anything done in any kind of a meaningful timescale.

The Manchester Metro link is rubbish compared to say San Francisco Cool the way it goes downhill and you can see Alcatraz and Coit Tower All I saw in Manchester was was a Londis and a dog having a pee by a Ford Fiesta

They built a station near my house and the price of houses around it went up by loads almost overnight. Fair play to Manchester because they pressed ahead with the metro plans to extend various lines including the didsbury extension just as the 2008 financial crash happened. They could easily have canned it but had the balls to press ahead 👏

Does anyone know if we have plans to blow the thing in case of invasion?
It’s always been something I’ve thought about and wondered if the government have the same worries as me 🤣

HS1 is a stunning piece of work. Remember travelling in the new trains on the old rails and losing fillings, couldn't go above 50mph. Rest is history, you don't know you're moving at 200 plus. Massive opportunity lost. IMO.

We just can't get stuff done in this country anymore.
