I just asked this on the match thread! I thought he was off, well, I assumed he would be, but I’m often wrong!

Not sure but what a refreshing change the ref was. Barely noticed him which is as high a compliment as you can pay a referee.

Thought Bae scored, came of the bar and bounced down and out, looked over the line to me.

Million was clearly offside and he knew it.
I’d like to see Bristol City’s again, it was a lovely move.
It always amazes me how many fans celebrate offside goals in blissful ignorance. Do they not check the linesman?

Yes it was offside I had a clear view of it.
Refreshing to have linesmen who seemed to know how to do it properly. We have had some shockers this season.

Were you referring to his first goal? I meant his disallowed goal in the second half.

Is a freeze frame of the Bristol goal on their forum. He's off by a half yard. His foot is on the line of the pen area ahead of the defender. Is tight but correct call

If you can chalk off Coventry's goal against United for a Cov Player's toe nail being offside, then it's safe to say Bristol's goal was rightly chalked off!!!

Bristol are Bristol City as we've just played them and he's talking about a specific incident in that game. Bit thick not to know that really

Do they not check the linesman? The first thing I do is look at the linesman when a goal goes in, whether it’s a Stoke goal or the opposition. It is quite funny watching folk celebrate to then realise 30 seconds later that the linesman had his flag up the whole time.

Good pictures. I wonder why the liner went 5 steps to his right after the offside to go back and rule it off. It looks like the right call but was very late.

Why do people keep pampering to the egos of the arrogant Mancs and the glory hunting pricks that support them by acting like there’s only one club called United and City yet think it’s ok to call clubs from other two club cities disrespectfully only by their first name? Why not be consistent and call Man U simply Manchester too? Besides it’s not thick to not know that Cov played Manchester in the cup, it’s more about having no fucking interest whatsoever. Bit thick not to get that really. BM

Was a superb goal and the first time I’ve clapped an opposition goal in a long long time.
Was delighted when the Lino raised his flag. First competent set of officials we’ve had all season.

It's fantastic officiating by the linesman. This for me is another reason why I hate VAR, it takes any ability or culpability away from the job itself, I mean it's just pointless having them with VAR and for someone who wants to do that as a job I would have thought they felt the same.
The linesman can look back at the highlights after match and get enormous satisfaction on a big decision. I think the officials are petrified in saying how they really feel.

When shorthand text started did you have to spend some time in a mental health hospital?
