I won’t begrudge Junho it, he’s done extremely well for a 20 year-old half a world from home, but I think Burger deserved it on the balance of the season. The voting coincided with his slight dip in form which worked against him.

Junho since hes started has been consistent and such a good player. New language to learn, new style of football, living in a WHOLE different part of the world, hasnt exactly had it easy. People say Burger deserves it and while i dont completely disagree, he hasnt been as consistent and hasnt had to adapt as much as Junho!

Brilliant - any incoming player willing to live up Hanley duck and shop in Tesco has truly thrown himself into Stoke culture and that in itself - never mind the footy - has given him cult status - unlike the wannabes and mercenary millionaires who choose to detach themselves COMPLETELY from the fans and live in Alderley F….ing Edge!

Can our current players afford Alderley Edge 🤣

I won’t begrudge Junho it, he’s done extremely well for a 20 year-old half a world from home, but I think Burger deserved it on the balance of the season. The voting coincided with his slight dip in form which worked against him. In league games Burger has 3 goals and 4 assists, Junho has 2 goals and 5 assists so nothing in it in terms of end product. Hopefully next season both can contribute more at the business end of the pitch. I mean Hoever has 4 gaols and 4 assists, so better than both, and he is a defender!

Stuff like this isn’t just based on matches either. He’s obviously just a very good lad who’s willing to learn and adapt. If his peers have noticed his effort, determination and quality then he’s clearly doing everything right. Destined for the top this lad.
Well done Junho.

It's fucking brilliant we have two options who can stake a solid claim. I love them both. Congrats Junho lad!

I reckon John Coates had made his decision it was going to be Junho long before any votes were cast and despite what votes were actually cast. Probably should have been Burger for player and Junho for young player for me. That said, either was worthy and unfortunately not really any other candidates.

He saved our season. Only bugger prepared to run his socks off whenever he played.

Well done Junho,an excellent 1st season, well deserved. On a negative note if he improves how I expect him to then next season will be his last for us unless an unexpected promotion is achieved.

Thoroughly deserved. And also he’s the most talented player we have and will improve immensely

Posted before, he’s neat and tidy and catches the eye but to really move on he has to influence the game in the final third more than he has done. For every Plymouth Performance there is a Swansea away one as well where he was terrible. Let’s not carried away cos we’re safe. Lots of work for the lad to do. Personally don’t see him as wide in a front 3 and is clearly a 10.
