Thinking of going for a week in Cornwall and taking my dog. Looking at Looe, Fowey, Padstow and St Ives. Want a few dog friendly restaurants and pubs, also good walks and surrounding places to visit. Any ideas, which places to go?? There are numerous pubs/bars/restaurants in Cornwall what allow dogs.Everywhere is good for walking in Cornwall and as for places to go ,it all depends on what you like/want. Whatever you choose Cornwall is ace.Enjoy.

Living down here near Plymouth I can give you some off the beaten track destinations. Looe, Fowey, Padstow and St Ives are great places outside holiday times will be rammed bank holiday. Portreath is good and there are old tin mining trails well marked for dog walking. Bodmin shouldn’t be dismissed as it’s the start of the Camel Trail and the Borough Arms at Dunmere just outside Bodmin on the Camel trail offers ample free parking and decent food. From here it’s a 5 mile walk to Wadebridge which is a decent destination.

Save yourself some money and do Blackpool instead. There's no big dipper in cornwall Can you take dogs to Blackpool? It's dogs only isn't it?

dogs should be banned from restaurants, and outside only at pubs, slobbering fookers. I would absolutely rather have my dog in the restaurant than they, miserable fooker. Anyway, back on topic Penzance is the way to go and I can recommend Praa Sands if you're looking for a caravan/lodge. Not everyone wants a slobbering stinking wet manky dog wandering around when they are eating, outside is fine. I haven't been back to this place near me since some irresponsible fookers dog tried to take food off my plate as it walked past, www.brunningandprice.co.uk/hayhurstarms/

I was in Bodmin last year dreadful ran down town with many bordered up shops etc.It has the jail/hotel etc but I would not go there tbh ,its a shame what has happened to Bodmin. We actually stopped in Wadebridge and would recommend to start the camel trail there.

Just come back from a BirdWatching/Photography Break.
Had brilliant weather. Still not the holiday season so wasn't mad either Stayed at the Haven sight in Hayle. Which is handy because its not far from other places. Phelps in Hayle do the best Pasties going. Lovely pub near the digs called the bucket of blood do a decent pint.
Got to Penzance its ok but nothing special. A Walk on Marizion Beach is wonderful and you look out to St Michael's mount which is stunning.
Great to walk at Lands End as well but don't park their stupid prices.Park somewhere else and walk down. Stunning views when you are their though.
I love Cornwall.

Love Cornwall to bits. I've always stayed on the North Coast because so many places are within easy reach. Tintagel area is a good place to stop and there are some beautiful walks going both north and south along the coastal footpath. You can walk for miles there. A great pub to take your dog to eat is in Boscastle...The Cobweb Inn and it's both comfortable and dog friendly. Plenty of parking too. Great history and in Tintagel, superb pasties from Pengenna Pasties that are a meal in themselves and delicious when eaten just after they've been cooked, which you can watch them doing.
OS.
