Neat and tidy but didn't do a lot, a bit like last season.

He was amazing just as useless and invisible as he was for us.. Tripe…..his link up play and movement was good. He’s now made over 40 appearances this season and scored about 5 goals for a team cemented in the play offs. Useless and invisible …….😂😂😂😂

I don’t get this slagging off of ex loan players He played a full season for us, I just took an interest in his performance.

He's a decent player, top end Championship / bottom end Premier League at best.
Did alright here, got nothing against the lad.

I don’t get this slagging off of ex loan players I think it probably comes down to frustration and dare I say it, bitterness. You're right though, I don't get it either. He's the one about to play in a play off semi final.

I don’t get this slagging off of ex loan players Think it was his comments when his loan was coming to an end, the impression came across he wasn't committed to the Stoke cause at the time. Harwood-Bellis recieved no pelters.

Thought their right winger and Smallbone stood out as their best players! Their right winger was really impressive I thought.

He's developing into a very good player. We helped with most of his development. Southampton reaped the rewards. He's been their best midfielder and orchestrates the play.
Developing your rivals players isn't a good approach

We'd be higher up the table with him in the team than without. Certainly a better (and probably cheaper) alternative to the hapless Johnson and more consistent than Baker.
Never understood the criticism of him. Good player.

The game changed for them when Flynn Downes came on, better than Smallbone.

Couldn't help but keep an eye on him yesterday.
I thought he was very involved and busy (another Joe Allen) but very little end product and he regularly gave us the ball.
Lke a lot of players these days, he flatters to deceive.

It’s not surprising that he has fared better in a side doing well with arguably better players around him. I think that’s been a major factor over the last few seasons with a lot of the young players we have had here on loan. They’ve been playing in sides with fragile confidence and limited ability. We have had no leaders in our team to help guide these players. I’m saying it quietly but it appears to me that we have had a few players stepping up and actually leading from the front over the last month or so. Fingers crossed……

Like many midfielders now, he “recycles possession”. That’s fine but you only look good doing it when you have someone next to you with the balls to actually make things happen.
