Does anyone know any decent wild camping spots like staffs/Cheshire way…we are looking for more woody areas if possible, there will be 3 of us but all in our mid to late 40’s so very responsible and tidy with no fires planned or anything like that.
It’s given pretty bad weather at the weekend so a sheltered woody area would be ideal really after a walk

Yes I am…but in the words of rage against the machine….I don’t do what they tell me! Reckon Keele woods would be decent, or Hanchurch There's a spot in Hanchurch at the bottom of the park where the path overlooks the road from Whitmore to Stableford (Stableford end) and looks up to Hill Chorlton on the far ridge. Because the Wood slops down to the path it's fairly dry and slightly more open for camping.

Used to go “Rave in the Cave” at Hanchurch woods back in the early 2000’s when you could actually enjoy yourself. A DJ(usually Daz Willott) with a turntable and generator until 6am. Police used to pull up and say “there’s no drugs here is there?”. “No”. “Good, enjoy yourselves”. Them were the days* *Ive never knowingly participated in the use of recreational drugs for any reason whatsoever (that I can recall).

Anyroad, plenty of room and shelter up Parkhall, lots of areas where very few people go.
Be aware there are other areas where people do go, particularly after nighfall apparently, as far as I'm aware participation is not compulsory 😀
