Yeah he'd 100% be a solid squad option, am sure we'll still be on the hunt for a marquee forward/striker signing

I remember watching the Murphy twins when they were playing at Norwich and always thought Josh was the one with more talent. If you look how their careers have turned out, it would suggest his mentality is nowhere near his brothers.

Murphy would be a very solid and cheap squad option. He was outstanding in the play offs.
Brannigan is also really good from Oxford as is Rodrigues

Brannigan is also really good from Oxford as is Rodrigues I don’t rate him at all and thought in the play off final he has some very lucky touches as the ball dropped for him perfectly. Hey ho we all see things differently.

Not really. He hasn’t managed to a good standard since the 90s. Totally irrelevant. You don’t know the bloke, I doubt anyone on here does. He might be deeply involved in football still, you just don’t know, not that it’s ever stopped you from having a know it all attitude 😂

x.com/Keynes39/status/1793700528301518850?t=ai7jQZ-JskvhKwPeoEb7qg&s=19Strange rumour from an MK Dons fan "Have it on good authority from one of my close mates who support Stoke - they're entering talks with Max Dean. No fee involved, 1 yr loan with view to permanent next summer as a free agent to get around Leeds clause. Tezgel part of the negotiations for season long loan in return" would be a fantastic signing! 20 year old 19 goals 5 assists this season

Do folk think there’s a chance we’ll sign another keeper besides Viktor?Heard a few rumours around these parts that we’re interested in Joe Wildsmith who’s contract is up at Derby🤔 My reaction was not a chance but I suppose if Bonham went we’d need another back up keeper🤔

Interesting I can’t see Stoke spending big on Whittaker as we have Million unless Schumacher thinks he'd be good down the middle but someone will have him Thought Rooney did well under very difficult circumstances at Derby but suggestion that was down to Rosenior which appeared to be born out by Rooney being a disaster at Blues, he really floundered there

Interesting, what sort of transfer pot do we have, or is it dependant on say selling a player, possibly Burger?

How many times do we settle for ‘Squad players’ who actually turn out to be regular starters. Fuck it off

How many times do we settle for ‘Squad players’ who actually turn out to be regular starters. Fuck it off 'Squad players' are those that are not really good enough for the first team XI so I just don't get the attraction. Get players in who are at least deemed good enough to start and let them fight it out for places.

But yes, we’ve been spectacularly bad at signing players who can actually play in the first team. Maybe getting shut of Dublin is a start.

Can’t we start reacting to actual deals or credible rumours rather than having 10 pages of over reaction for every soft link?

We allocated £5M last summer and it wasn’t enough. Whatever we’ve got hope we don’t blow it on Whittaker, we need a central striker.

We do have good money for a striker Yes But he's not a striker, he plays wide So unless he can be moved to play down the middle I don't see it I also think he was a flash in the pan, got hot for 2/3s of a season in a system that must've suited him. I've not got the numbers but I'm pretty sure he didn't score too many from about Jan/Feb onwards. I'd be very wary of spending big money on him personally. EDIT: www.transfermarkt.co.uk/morgan-whittaker/leistungsdaten/spieler/502075 Looks like he scored 4 from February onwards, although according to that list he did switch to an AM role instead of right wing but when you factor in Million scored the same number in half the stats during that period, to spend big on Whittaker would be insane when I think we have the better player in Million.

Whittaker doesn’t look anything worth spending much money on.
And isn’t the sort of out and out striker we need.
We should be near no one from Plymouth tbh.

Dad a massive Stoke fan, Schumacher probably loves him. Money will probably be a problem depending on what Plymouth want from him.

Wonder how much it would cost to get Conway out of Bristol City. Top scored for them two seasons on the trott at this level. Central striker. Young. Coming into the final 12 months of his contract. Rejected an extension/new contract. I thought there was no chance before I learned of the last two details. He’s worth at least what Simms and Cannon went for last summer but with his contract situation maybe a cheeky bid is in order.
