I'm taking: CB -Coady (J.Cooper option 2) Loan IF - Dolan free ST - Gallagher free CM - Mowatt free CDM - McNair (CB cover and 6) free CB - Creswell 2.5m LB - Burrows (Byram option 2) free That will give us a good base of British/League experience. After that Dublin can load up his Football manager porn and scatter it with some K and J league filth. Keeping in the squad to play: Million Burger Baee Tchmaedau. Laurent and Baker would be sold and x2 CMs signed. A good keeper an absolute priority. Dolan is Prem bound. Isn’t Byram a right back?

Only my opinion of course but we've been crying out for pace, Moore doesn't give us that plus he's too old and Vidigal is shite, I'd be OK with Toff though but we may as well try and tempt Sam Vokes back if we go for Moore

Something we must get away from.

Just a first hit at a possible line up. GK CB LB CF Key signings of course.

A lot depends on if we move any on, ie Mmaee, Vidigal, Johnson etc. we need a better striker, a left back, goalkeeper and a CB as a minimum. I worry that signing loads again will dilute the quality, and take time to gel. You're adding to players who've already acclimatised to the league and bedded into the team and are familiar with one another. We should make a handful of high potential singings every year. When they haven't got to be an integral part of the starting 11 from the off in the hope that at least one of them turns out to be a gem. Despite our horrific season we'd do well to unearth as many as we did this season. I'd consider Junho, Burger and quite possibly Junior and Manhoef to be gems unearthed in one season that's pretty impressive. It has been mainly the players that were signed for the here and now that have not lived upto expectations. In addition to those I'd like to see us sign a proven goalscorer, goalkeeper, CB, LB. I don't think 10 new signings would be an excess. I dunno, overhauling always carries a risk and signing 5-10 players again even on loan is a risk. I agree we’ve got some decent quality players in Burger, Million, Junho, Baker, Junior and Gooch. Laurent, Ennis, Pearson, Wilmot, Mccarron, Thompson (if he stays), Leris, Bonham and Vidigal maybe ok as squad players. That leaves the need for 4-5 at least in through the door.

Left back an absolute priority which it should have been for the last 7 years!!!
Of that free transfer list reckon Paddy Mcnair could be a decent acquisition. Mainly as a defensive midfielder but versatile and can play centre half and full back

This might sound daft but i would go.for Delap again. Sometimes its 2nd 3rd time loans that click with young lads.Ala Harry Kane and the winger we had from Villa who was shite but now flying with Hull. First time out loans can struggle.

It's not a risk to speculate on players. Them being intrinsic to the starting 11 is where the risk occurs. Despite being told we were going to have a very competitive budget this season we sank to 16th highest wage bill in the league which tells you many of the players signed must be on peanuts in football terms wage wise. If you bring them in for smallish fees on lowish wages they shouldn't be too difficult to move on if they don't make the grade. Player trading is part of the business you've got to be on the lookout for your next big profit in the market it's not just about building a squad for the current campaign.

We need to get real. Wellbeck and Cairney wouldn’t even consider us, even if we could get near the wages they command. Which I highly doubt. We need more like Junior, Bae, Burger and Million. Young, hungry, talented, and with potential to make a profit. We need a sprinkling of experience. For me, I’d like to see us try to tempt an experienced central defender down from the Premier League if it’s at all possible. A bit like Villa did with Terry, or Birmingham with Steve Bruce back in the day. A leader who’s best days are behind him but still fit enough and hungry enough to drop down and do us a job for a year or two. Yeah definitely. But we need to be realistic too. Conor Coady is realistic. Danny Wellbeck ain’t.

Sorry I mean a risk in terms of league position, not cost. I’m All for finding gems from abroad, we should’ve been doing it rather than signing the likes of McLean and Vokes. Martina, Duffy etc were daft decisions.

Hopefully it's another summer of Jared's magical algorithms so we'll he signing a veteran Chinese striker nicknamed the Hunan Haaland, a left-back from Egypt that has never left his hometown before, a midfielder maestro from Colombia whose dad used to guard the door of Pablo Escobar's house, the top scorer in last season's Namibian Premier League, a 15-year-old from Fiji who has never seen a football before in his life, Jay Rodriguez and every resident of the Dutch province of Limberg.
