A work colleague texted me about it and I got on it. As a Stoke person in exile it was a great watch. I used to drink in the Portland many years ago as a mate lived around the corner. It looks better now
Nice to see such a positive representation of the city on national TV

It looks better now Nice to see such a positive representation of the city on national TV I agree ……. About time! Hanley still has something to offer, theatres, the museum, Emma Bridgewater, shops & cafes, plenty of parking (some would say too much parking!) and if you think of Festival Park as it’s retail ‘cousin’/next door neighbour then it’s way more vibrant than ppl give it credit for ….. oh and Bae Junho lives in one of the new Smithfield rentals!

Superb, really enjoyed it.
If the council had anything about them they'd get full value from the fondness of the area shown by her and the bloke off Pottery Throwdown that also blarts a lot.
Projects like the Portman should also be encouraged by them, brilliant stuff they're doing 👏

Projects like the Portman should also be encouraged by them, brilliant stuff they're doing 👏 You'd buzz off the Portland estate. It's riddled with grows, we uncovered umpteen of them doing up £1 houses. You'd think Percy Thrower had turned up the amount of compost and containers there were. Funniest thing was seeing a smack head cycle straight into the back of a car, smash his face into the screen and just walk off leaving his teeth in the windscreen 😬 They got put in milk for him and he picked them up after he'd got his fix. Didn't feel a thing 😮 Disappointing thing despite the good things they're doing with the Portland Pub people was they found the whole commercial cannabis grow thing amusing, when that was a major contributor to anti social behaviour in the area. Very NIMBY too, they're wholly against the redevelopment of the old pot bank between Century Street/Waterloo Road and were trying to scupper redevelopment of works at Fuchs.

I find commercial grows amusing too, the whole law surrounding cannabis is hilarious, proper Emperor Wears No Clothes stuff, it's beyond parody.

Just watched it and thought it was very good indeed. It’s a shame many people don’t have the pride in the city that the two “out of towners” clearly have in setting up that project and keeping it running.
With that and the Pottery Throw Down, Stoke is certainly getting some positive press more recently. It needs some love and attention and needs something to happen that’ll make the city just tick - a tram system, a venue, a regeneration of some area(s). It doesn’t need billions throwing at it, just give it a fighting chance by putting something into it.
