Junho and Manhoef should be the first names on the teamsheet for the rest of the season anyway, no matter how they have played their previous match. They are the only creative players in our team who are capable of creating a goal.
Hopefully Steven has learnt that today.

I think he already knows but they aren't fit enough to keep playing game after game. They need a good pre-season as do many of our players

No excuse for not playing them next week / the rest of the season with a full weeks rest. Gutted we’ve lost Mmaee as he’s the only player who can hold the ball up. I’d be tempted to play Leris as at least he wins a fair share in the air.

In fairness they were both knackered, but with a weeks rest they simply must start against Plymouth......

Schumacher is making it very difficult for me to keep supporting him with his treatment of these two.

Schumacher is making it very difficult for me to keep supporting him with his treatment of these two. It was fitness-based. I think they're both likely to start the last three games. Although I quite like them both as impact players vs tired legs anyway.

Don’t know about any preseason plans but he’s played 14 months without a break and he will probably be at the Olympics in late July early August.

Million is looking a real good player. Saw none of the ball at Swans and looks like he can beat his man every time
Both fresh for Saturday 👍

He keeps going but when he starts to tire he can't beat a man and his touch gets worse. He doesn't always look like he can see out 90 minutes so if he's the fittest it really is worrying. For me he just has more desire than most of our players, I don't see him as being fitter. 2 games a week is tough for most players if their fitness levels aren't where they need to be, Swansea was like a bog Wednesday so you can't blame players for being leggy after that game.

We won’t get to see the stats but it would be a surprise if any player has put more yards in this season relative to time on the pitch. If every player showed the same application we wouldn’t be in the predicament that we are. Fitness, energy and desire has been an issue at Stoke for many years. You cannot show desire in an effective manner without fitness. For a kid, relatively new to the club, the country and the league he’s done great. He’s the best asset we’ve got and has the typical quality of work rate of South Korean players. He’ll only get fitter, stronger and better….

Still looks fitter than Laurent though! I don't think we can afford to give him any rest this season. Even he'd be not on his best he's still one of those rare players who can make things happen. Same goes for Manhoef. We need both of them, we witnessed the difference today with and without them on the pitch.

Both were out of sorts in the week, looked jaded
Championship is a slog like no other league , 3 of our best players Bae, Manhoef and Burger haven't experienced it before
No midweek games so both to start the remainder

Don’t talk nonsense, Junho has started all but 5 games since Schumacher came in. He also hasn’t had a break from football for almost 18 months.

I couldn't agree more, but still the club always need to take into consideration the tear and wear on the players.

Bae doesn't start every game because he's had an injury. And Manhoef is greedy at times, there's openings to pass and he dribbles into no where. Don't get me wrong he's a good player, he's got the potential to be great in this league

We have finally got some very good young players on our books.
Lowe 18, Junior, Jun-ho and Jolic only 20, Burger 23
Both loanees Hover and Cundle under 23 need to be signed.
Campbell needs to be kept at 24, there's a good player there if he wants to be.
I'm convinced we'll turn the corner if we concentrate on these younger players

Agreed, my 3 up front would be Manhoef, Ennis and Campbell with Junho as the 10 behind. Ty is so much better on a flank than in the middle.
