Let me explain.
I met Mrs Dobber almost 19 years ago, and we quickly found out that I was a proud Potter and she was an avid Wednesdayite.
At the time Stoke and Wednesday were in similar lower Championship positions, with Stoke's stock rising and Wednesday's on the wain.
Since that time Wednesday have been above Stoke for no more than 5 DAYS (!), which was handy as it meant all our kids have gone down the red and white route with no real cause for 'discussion'.
So on today:
- We win. Happy me, but martial stress
- We draw. No good for anyone, total household angst levels high for another week.
- We lose. Smug wife, unhappy everyone else.
For what it's worth I think we'll lose today, but claw our way to safety. I think Wednesday will be fine as well, and may even finish above us giving Mrs D her first summer of bragging rights. As long as we stay up, I'll take that....
